The IAAF did however set regulations as to the height of the midsole and the amount of carbon fiber plates used in running shoes. The next iteration of the shoe is the Alphafly Next% and will fetch a good amount of money on the resale market after its limited release next week due to the demand (heads up lol).

I think the main issue that the running organizations had with the next% was the carbon fiber layer in the midsole which almost acts like a lever and “helps” you run faster and propels your legs forwards. I’m not an expert but I think that is the main reason the shoes are getting banned
