Imagine the longevity and dominance of Shelly. I didn’t see her in their lap of honour.
In an inerview she stated she was feeling some pain and couldn't make it back from the top of the stretch, but she really wanted to be there.
Not sure if the pain was from the appendix surgery she did earlier that year.🙏

Jamaica has simply owned the world championships relay for so many years. In fact, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure they must have the longest streak of sprint relay podiums in world championships history, stretching from Helsinki 2005 all the way to Oregon 2022. That's 17 years of dominance, with their one bronze coming from a year when there was no shelly-ann, elaine or any of the heavy hitters on the team. In fact:
Helsinki 2005: Silver
Osaka 2007: Silver
Berlin 2009: Gold
Daegu 2011: Silver
Moscow 2013: Gold (CR)
Beijing 2015: Gold (CR)
London 2017: Bronze
Doha 2019: Gold
Oregon 2022: Silver
That 2017 quartet of Jura Levy, Natasha Morrison, Simone Facey & Shashalee Forbes was a relatively weak one by the standards of the last decade.

Aileen Bailey's batty did many things to young Jamaican boys of my generation.
Will be a travesty if SAFP isn't part of a 4x1 WR setting team over the next 2yrs before she retires alongside Elaine, Shericka, Briana/Kemba! They have the talent/foot speed to run sub 40.8s, just need to put the perfect race together!
And do a lot of relay camps. Practice and chemistry is very key.

@@AllInTheGame01 I hear you, but I wish for them to show up and handle business, with Jamaica in mind. The goal is a smooth button stick exchange and a sub 40.8s. The button enhance from the lead to Elaine on the backstraight has shown on two occasions that we need to put more effort in practice.
Whether they like or do not like each other after relay camp and as they pursue their individual goals, is theirs to deal with. For relay, I want them to work on that chemistry, even if it means faking to like each other.
I think our future girls will get the wr the clayton twins with brianna lyston and alana reid/ serena cole they are better relay runners than elaine's generation and they know how to get the stick around
