Matanglawin: Matanglawin Quezon Quest

“Matanglawin” goes to Lucban, Quezon to celebrate the Pahiyas Festival with Girltrends member Mikee Agustin. Adventurista Mikee learns how to make kiping. She also visits the Angel's sunflower field in Candelaria, Quezon. She then tastes the delicacies of the province including the hardinera, budin, longganisa lucban, and pancit habhab. Lastly, Mikee visits a 30-feet tall man-made waterfall.

Congrats...once i attended the Pahiyas in Lucban, Quezon...we arrived early in the morning and we were able to park properly with the aid of the Philippine Tourism...it was an unforgettable experience..and i found out that NOT the whole of Lucban town is decorated with pahiyas, only one street for tourism, so the people are crowded..i would suggest that at least 3 streets to be decorated with pahiyas to avoid over-crowding, and for safety...nobody knows what would happen in a crowded area..

Sunflower can be considered as a cash crop...here in Canada and in the USA, sunflower farming is fully commercialized for sunflower oil, bird seeds and confectionary sunflower seeds (being toasted with flavouring like bbq, vinegar and etc.)...farmers can do it especially for those areas where irrigation is a problem, esp, in our part in Southern Quezon, problema ang tubig..
