- 1 month update: I’ve spent 170 MILLION RUPIAH ($11,270usd) on food purchases that have been distributed straight to over 2600 Indonesians in 4 weeks. Every single day we’ve created progress towards alleviating the massive economic burden of covid-19 in Bali.
Your donations have moved mountains. They’ve made tears of joy. They’ve brought smiles of hope. And we together, have been spreading faith in humanity through unity.
What started as a few hundred dollars in food purchases each time has now grown 5-10x that. I’ve met with almost every chief and coordinator for the two villages I live between (23 banjar communities) and our efforts only continue to scale bigger. We are now really focusing on helping the thousands of Indonesians that are non-bali originals which did not and will not receive any government assistance.
There is no end in sight for this economic travesty. Millions are without jobs here. Theft and crime are increasing on an island that normally has VERY little of that.
