You just slow down at the stops, if you are rolling through the intersections without stopping and just acting like you don't care, someone may take it as a disrespect tho their hood, and fire at you. They won't give a fuck, because cops won't do anything there unless there is someone dead, or something more serious. You can hear gunshots day and night there.

James Earl Cash In a survey in 2007 by the Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion & Public Life, the African-American population are found to be more religious than the U.S. population as a whole with 87% affiliated to a religion, and 79% saying that "religion is very important in their life", compared with 83% and 56% resp. for the whole of the US. The population is mostly Christian, with 83% of black Americans identifying as Christian, including 45% who identify as baptist. Catholics account for 5% of the population. 1% identify as Muslim. About 12% of African American people do not have a religion and identify as atheist or agnostic, slightly lower than the figure for the whole of the USA.[

Depending on the gang they have been known shoot at any person for gang initiating. I don't buy the whole if you don't mess with them then they won't mess with you concept. Evil people prey on good hearted people. That's just how the world is in some parts. Some parts of the country having different skin color could get you shot or mugged. More people need to wake up to the rise in homicides and crime overall. It will get worse before it gets better.

are you affiliated with a gang? Seen anything you shouldn't have? Picked a fight with someone who was? If not, there is your answer. If the media didn't report violence people would get mad, because the lives that were lost would seem as if they were insignificant. When the media reports it, people get mad because they don't find that news. It seems that people want to deny that America was never absolutely 100% great, and it isn't now. You have stated only one part of the city. The city has a large Poverty, and Gang violence % rate. Now I'm not saying that Detroit is the worst city in America. that would be ridiculous, and untrue. Every city has poverty, and gang violence in America.

He then turns left on Lafayette then left on Green st. Surenos are around there as well. Nice videos if I may suggest some areas to film. Del Ray (between fort st and Jefferson ave along Livernois ), oakwood heights (fort st crossing the rogue river bridge), mexicantown (right by the ambassador bridge), boyton (black part of southwest Fort st and visger road).

Latino = anybody from or who's heritage is from a country in the Americas that use to be in the Spanish or Portuguese colonies. So Brazil is now added.

I mean, this neighborhood is WAY better than most of the parts here in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Most of the people have cars, they can buy lots of stuff, its unbelievable.

It's because clearly different countries have different standards of living there are some places that are worse then what is shown here. some places have two houses on the street the rest are burnt and abandon and that neighborhood is better believe it or not. So you could never judge an area just on the visual perception, whether it's good or bad

Once pulled over not too far from there. Cop looks at me, asks if "I want to die?", It's.rhetorical, says a full stop can get me killed and leads me back to the freeway.
Not just because I was white but because I was so out of place. Comically out of place....I was born in Detroit. I don't go to the SW side amap.
I helped bring in water all over East side in 2014 & 2015 but SW Detroit was forbidden. Literally couldn't get the hood pass as a gang of dudes threatened us as we were bringing their neighborhoods WATER! Didn't give a fuck, drew guns, had to go.....never went back. East side welcomed our group and I was there a lot. South side mfrs don't play at all.

If you are african american driving through a heavily gang impacted neighborhood and you stop, local kids will sometimes walk up to your car and ask where you are from and if you give the wrong answer they will rob or kill you. The driver is most likely blowing through the stops where there are groups of youth gathered.
