- Scheduled tetanus shots over a person’s lifetime can prevent tetanus. If a person has a dirty wound and is unsure if or when they had the vaccines, a doctor can administer a tetanus booster while treating the wound.

খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ একটা বিষয়।অনেকে আমল দেয় না। Dr. Amitava sir যেটা বললেন এখন ডাক্তাররা এ রোগ দেখতে পান না। অতীব ভয়ঙ্কর এক অসুখ। অনেক বছর আগে আমার এক বন্ধু মারা যায়। মাঠে খেলতে গিয়ে পায়ে লোহার কাঁটা ফুটেছিল, রক্ত বন্ধ করতে মাটি লাগিয়েছিলো।। রাতে জ্বর সাথে তীব্র যন্ত্রনা। হাসপাতালে গিয়েও কিছু হয় নি। স্যারকে অনেক ধন্যবাদ।
এত সুন্দরভাবে বুঝিয়ে দিল ডাক্তারবাবু,কারুর বুঝতে কোনো অসুবিধাই হলো না।।

ডাক্তারবাবুকে অসংখ্য ধন্যবাদ টিটেনাস সম্বন্ধে এত সুন্দর করে বোঝানোর জন্য । উনি বলেছেন অক্সিজেন আছে এমন জায়গায় টিটেনাস ব্যাক্টেরিয়া বেঁচে থাকতে পারে না। তবে বাইরের কিছু তে কেটে গেলে আমরা কেন টিটেনাস ভ্যাক্সিন নেব? বাইরে তো অক্সিজেন রয়েছে, সেখানে তো টিটেনাস ব্যাকটেরিয়া নেই বলে ধরতে হবে। এই ব্যাপারটা ঠিক বুঝলাম না।

স্যার খুব সুন্দর ভাবে বলেছেন। কিন্তু আমার যে প্রশ্নটা হল - স্যার বলেছেন যে, অক্সিজেন পেলে টিটেনাস জিবানু মারা যায় তা যদি সত্যি হয়ে থাকে তাহলে আমি যে জিনিস দ্বারা ইনিজুরি হয়েছি সেটা বাইরে অক্সিজেনের মধ্যেই ছিল, তাহলে সেখানেতো টিটেনাস থাকার কথা নয়! এই বিষয়টি একটু বুঝিয়ে দিলে ভালো হয়। ধন্যবাদ।
