The Plovdiv Stadium has been used mainly for derby matches between the four Plovdiv teams, as well as other matches from the Republican Football League. The great matches of Trakia(Botev) Pd with Real (Zaragoza), Red Star, Barcelona, Bayern (Munich) have also taken place here. Lokomotiv Pd has had its unforgettable moments against Auxerre, Juventus and Lazio.
@@unveiler10 Fair enough! Botev no longer use this stadium, but I heard lokomotiv youth teams may still use it for training. All info was conflicting but this was from a Bulgarian person (from Plovdiv) who thought they still used it :P
@@MrE- Since 1996, the stadium has not had an "Act 16" and official football matches cannot be held there only the friendly ones. In the summer, Plovdiv's track and field clubs also hold their training sessions at the stadium, because this is the only facility in Plovdiv where athletes can train outdoors
Theres quite a lot around Plovdiv some of it is football related graffiti or 'Botev', but you also find anti-gay stickers stuck in buses lol, plus some racist graffiti or stickers too
