AILD is a christian band. but most of their songs are just about life struggles. the interviewed time. and he said the lyrics arent mainly about religon or anything. they are personally christians. but they dont ALWAYS incorperate that into their music. they just write w.e. is heavy on their hearts.
the clean vocals are off because they have a different bass player than in the Shadows are Security album. THEy are NOT DEAD its just a really small stage usually they are alot more ENERGETIC!
the album version is sung by someone outside of the band. clint the old bassist sung and played live but didn't sing or play bass on the album. iuno why. but now josh the new bassist sings. he isn't very good here but last year and this he has improved greatly and can sing nearer to the cd than this.
well they were alot more hardcore with clint. Josh joining actually helped recreate their sound from just Hardcore to melodic parts, bad ass solo's, and just overall thrashing and shredding. I have to say I favor Josh and AILD alot more since he joined the band.
i think every one should stop saying who sucks at headbanging and he sucks at singing. there up there playing sold out shows selling millions of albums. so there making way more money than you are and are way better than any of you on guitar singing or drumming. AS I LAY DYING FOR LIFE
yeah, Clint vocals are much better. higher and Cleaner, but hey, Josh a totally different person, cant just 'make' him go singin' like clint. But still man, AILD has become a lot more Hardcore in the last Album and josh suits in very well. Cheers.
Well its not all about the stagecraft. Besides, this is a damn good band, and their guitar parts can get pretty confusing. Trust me. But fucking hell, they are damn good live.

So many bands follow the same formula. Have your lead singer scream then have a back up singer try to actually sing a verse or two. There's so much insecurity in this music.

It's hard to play it at the exact same tempo as the recording, without slowing down or speeding up

I think Josh is a good vocalist. I think he sings way cleaner than Clint, but Clint has a better tone. Like, Josh's is kinda low.
