Hello (it's John from The Magic of Fishing)! I hope you're well and it's great to see you back on TH-cam and fishing the Blackwater again. I can't quite believe it, in fact, as I fished it for the first time just this weekend. Like you, I fell for it straight away. A lovely little stretch of running water. I've got a video about my first try out at the end of the week and I promise I hadn't seen this or tried to copy you😊Really enjoyed this film and perhaps we'll meet on the bank someday. Tight lines.
Enjoyable video as always Aaron. The Blackwater holds some nice fish, especially Roach through that stretch but the Chub and Barbel can be very elusive.
Used to fish the Blackwater at Frimley from the pits through the business park. Had some good fish - chub, big roach, gudgeon and perch. Never knew it held barbel tho. This was before the bypass mind, when a few of my favourite pits got filled in. Great video buddy.
Much appreciated. I don’t think there is many Barbel. I hooked and lost one a few years back, and saw a couple last year. I think I have the spots sorted. Just catching them now.

Thanks John. I’ll definitely give it a watch when it’s out. May well see you on the bank

As I found. I know spots I can get them up at Shepherds meadow.
