Simon is the man! Did Dorna/MotoGP cut the length of these tech talks down on purpose? Last year the talks were typically over ten minutes. We want more Crafar!
Short and sweet! This was a very cool addition to the previous teck talk we had seen on brakes. Loved hearing Ian on it too, although volume was a bit low, always good to hear mechanics talk about things too.
Stopped myself from pressing like button within 1 seconds of the start of the video Kinda expect Simon Crafar to school me well everytime. Thanks Simon 👌🏼
Love the tech talks.. & how much would we like that brake set up on our road bikes! 🤯👌🏼 (Admittedly..carbon discs would be useless, but those callipers 😍)
I wish they can trickle that "special" brake line fitting to road bikes, servicing the calipers will be so much easier, no need to bleed fluids and no worries about air sneaking in.
355 is massive....most bikes are 290 to 310 with 320-330 being huge....idk if a production bike comes with 330s Am sure those 355s are absolutley insane, pucker factor 10, lol Great job Simon
If they are pushing 355 mm then it's best to change disc design to Buell inverted disc . U can reduce weight ,and put a bigger disc . Potentially Lower risky brake line mistakes.
Check out Sylvain Guintoli channel. I think he said it’s €70-80k for one bikes brake setup each season. Includes 3 sets of discs, calipers & lever/master cylinder.

Even though the whole video looks sloppy, I would still watch it over any other because it is informative and it's a video from the garage

Why does the tire have tread groves? Power Cup 2?
WOW! I've never seen anything like that,.
The feel and or pressure at the lever can easily be designed in to the levers leverage and hydraulic design.

Give the man more time!
355 design with cooler ducts in a 340 would be functional well for Fabio aggressive late brakes
