Hi Joe! We just met you at the Smokey Mountain Biker Rally! It was great to meet you! This is our TH-cam channel! We put a little bit of everything on it!
Just east of Loess Hills S.F. in Iowa is a hidden gem of a state park just south of Carrol Iowa, Swan Lake state park. for only $10 you get a shower, electricity and quiet seclusion. I've stayed there twice over the past 3 years on my western trips and never had to deal with a crowd.
Great video Joe. I find it interesting how sometimes you don’t have enough to eat then next time you have a massive meat meal. Anyway, hope to catch you in Maryville. How do you like your coffee?😀
Another good editing job, well done man. Geeezzzz, you milked Sturgis for all it's worth - surprised you hung out that long! I've been to that I-80 truck stop too, it's a trip. Am I hearing some top end noise? I hope that second tensioner isn't trying to shit the bed! Enjoyed meeting you this year in Sturgis, hope to see you again next year. I'm the dude from Washington State that always offers you a nice place to stay if you are in the area. Also, after 62 years on this planet, I learned a new word - "ameliorate". I've never heard that word before in my life. I doubt you learned it from Scotty - just sayin'. Ride safe brother. Looking forward to your next update. P.S. - no diss on Scotty.
For the most part I love it. Had a couple screws rattle loose which hold the mount for the visor. Got some others that work form the hardware store. It’s a loud helmet, I’d recommend ear plugs
The route you chose to get to Maryville was an interesting one. Sardines go great with pork & beans. You could do a lot with those 2. Safe trip and hope you sell lots of windshields.
Hi from Sweden 🇸🇪 Haven’t commented since you had the Pan European , and that was a while ago 😮 Nevertheless ; I saw some scandinavian touch here on your v-log. King Oscar sardines , a norwegian 🇳🇴 brand. And wasn’t it a Volvo S80 out there in the water ? Take care and all the best 🙌
Man, I can’t get enough of Scandinavian foods. I’d love to try more, but they’re difficult to find in the US. Every so often I can find canned cod livers from Norway, but it’s rare. Actually of all places, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan has good selection since there are a lot of Scandinavians there. One of these days I’m gonna have to go there myself! 😅 Thanks for commenting bro
I went to Sturgis back in 1984. On my 1976 HONDA CB 550 four Super Sport. It was about 620 miles from Emerson Manitoba. Where I lived. Emerson is right on the 🇨🇦 🇺🇸 border. 10 hour ride one way fun time i was 17
Joe, try to remember to get the hammock I gave you at Sturgis. Will be handy being back east with more trees. Lol😅 Maybe I'll see you before you cross into Mexico or take off for the oriental side of the world. God bless you brother.
@@dirtymotorcyclevagabond Looking forward to your next adventure. Maybe this time you'll find a cute lady friend to show you around. Good luck brother.
The hilly part of Iowa that you rode thru might be the far northern part of the Missouri Ozarks. At least it looks that way using Google Maps in layers mode. The Missouri border is not too far south of Woodward Iowa. BTW Have you ever hung around the Black Hills area of SD in early October? I wonder what the fall colors in the Black Hills look like. I've never been there. The weather is supposed to warm up in the SD area. Glad to see your bike is fixed.
I hate the dew! Midwest sucks for that. Iowa..never ending flat , but good people! Anyway new adventures waits for you, soon new horizons and better indigenous food.. enjoy the ride my young brother..ill see you soon
About how much does it cost you a month to live like this I'm planning a trip around all backroads as I'm a truckers that's seen most of the interstates I'm trying to figure out a budget your live like I could for awhile
If I'm really scratching and saving, I can make it work on around 500. Maybe even a little less. Granted, my bike gets great gas mileage, and for the most part I'm only eating once or twice a day.
@@dirtymotorcyclevagabond thanks I’ll see if I can figure that out with mine. It looks pretty cool actually, the only thing I don’t like about it. It takes a lot of memory.
I try not to plan too much man. The ioverlander app is a good place to start. I use it sometimes, but often find something else better on the way. And thanks! 🙂

Haha awesome man!
I wish you would have hollered at me. I would have set you up with a place to stay in Indiana.
Thanks man, I was kind of in a hurry. Next time!
In Iowa visiting my sister about the same time (up from Texas). Very nice weather then and motorcycles were everywhere.
👍
The New Go Pro has upped the quality of your vidios 100 % buddy.
Thanks man glad you like it
Hey. Enjoy the videos! You and I have similar moto-camping styles! What time of year was this? Thnx.
Thanks man! That was late summer/ September
Be safe traveling to Biketoberfest buddy.
Thanks, will do!

No problem!
Ameliorate?! You learned me a new word, Joe!
You know, I don't think I'd ever used that word until this video 🤣
My search text in TH-cam over the last few weeks has been the title of your video today. I'd better watch this. From Cedar Rapids.
Awesome man! Hope it's useful/ enjoyable 😎
@@dirtymotorcyclevagabond Your camping at old RV park was kind of cool. Great videography and content.
My favorite crossing the US on two lane roads. Please talk about the camera on Your helmet. I see your latest videos have a 360 camera. great video.
Thanks man. On the helmet is an insta360 go 3. I've been pretty happy with their products

About how much does it cost you a month to live like this I'm planning a trip around all backroads as I'm a truckers that's seen most of the interstates I'm trying to figure out a budget your live like I could for awhile
Just remember to factor in 1 rotisserie chicken a day to the budget ....
That's crucial! Hahaha 😅
If I'm really scratching and saving, I can make it work on around 500. Maybe even a little less. Granted, my bike gets great gas mileage, and for the most part I'm only eating once or twice a day.

Hey Joe, your bike sure is sounding good since you fixed it or is that muffler getting good and broke in?
Thanks man. It was doing fine until Kentucky. Currently broken down yet again...
I know you just fixed the cam chain tensioners but it sounds bad already.
Yeah...
Damn Bro I seen a post about you broken down over the weekend on North American Biker Rescue. Hope all is well brother much love and respect stay safe
Yeah. I was. Again... LOL
Positive comment!
Thank you!
Not loving that 3D camera
I’m with you on that
LOESS is pronounced 'luss'😊
👍 noted
So how did you figure out on your 360 camera to make it look like you’re riding on a ball?
There's a way to do it on the Insta360 software. You have to fist make a key frame, then change the view perspective in the dialog box
@@dirtymotorcyclevagabond thanks I’ll see if I can figure that out with mine. It looks pretty cool actually, the only thing I don’t like about it. It takes a lot of memory.
Bummer you skipped KCMO . I'd have put you up and fed you local BBQ. Maybe next time
Nex time!
Man those where too big steaks
Oh yeah lol
And you didn't even stop at Wall Drug, what kind of tourist are you 😂
Not a good tourist lol
Met up in sturgis
Awesome man!
Hay if your in NE South Dakota and need a place to stay for a night or two hit me up. got a shop with heat, AC, toilet, sink, and wifi.
Thanks man! Next time I'm out that way...
How to do find your "places to see ??
I started using an app called roadside attractions
Consider Venmo
Wash the needles out of your skin with water.
👍
Format different...stop the visual manipulation.... just keep it real... thanks
Great video
Do you have any advice on planning these trips? Or just time on the web? I downloaded some apps but never used them.
Beautiful video

2:26 That's amazing how you fade out like that. You're really getting the hang of stealth camping. 😊
