Thank you for cleaning up that trash. I taught my children and grandchildren to clean up a camp cleaner than they found it because TRASHY PEOPLE LEAVE TRASH. Thank you for sharing your adventure…from east Tennessee.
Awesome video and awesome content can’t wait for the next video Thank’s Joe
More to come!
Yet another AWESOME video.... my buddy and I did the backof the dragon 2yrs ago... like you.. from marion to tazwell... we liked it a lot better than the tail... for the reasons you did.... such a great story teller.... ride safe out there...👍😎👍
'Tail of the Dragon' isn't even in the top 10. Rte. 16 is awesome, a circle back down Burke Garden Rd makes a great ride.
Thanks so much!
I agree ☝️
How I just found your videos. Great great great!!!!! Keep on keeping on love your videos
Thank you! Will do!
WV and VA have some of the best riding in the country. Most of the time little to no traffic. I don't think I'll ever ride the dragon way too many people.
Don’t blame ya
Beautiful State with great riding
It really is!
the turtle was most likely nesting
I am glad you’re suspension. You put on his working well, travel well Godspeed.
👍
I would have to packing a tool to camp in those woods, I would be worried about running into Big Foot..lol.
Hahaha 😂
Another Good one, Good trick to store your Food. Im nervous when Bears are around also Nice meeting you at Born Free 🤘🏼
You too bro! Thanks for stopping by ✌️
Good content Joe, great to see the growth. Sometime soon. Looking forward to born free take.
Thanks man! Coming soon
That’s most likely a female turtle and they lay their eggs in areas usually, open like this. I’ve seen this along rail trails and tow paths.
Riding in the rain, watching for deer and hoping you Don't have to share your camp with a bear...just another day for Joe.
lol 😆
Much love and respect Joe stay safe brother!
✌️
Awesome man! Been hooked on your adventures. Pulled all my camping stuff out inspired to pack up the bike.
Haha awesome man! Enjoy
That was some good looking food!!!
Yes it was!
Another great video señor. Best to you Joe.
Gracias! ✌️
Nice ride Joe, I did the Back of The Dragon in late March. I left Deals Gap in the rain, rode the Tail of the Dragon first, then headed to Marion for the BOTD. It would have been a nice ride but ended up doing both Dragons in the rain. I stayed the night in Tazwell and headed towards New Mexico the next morning.
That Chili Crisp is popular, my kids always put it on their food & it's great to cook with if you want some heat in your food.
Yeah that sounds about right lol. I’ve done the Tail a couple times when I’ve gotten soaked. Yeah, I’m addicted to the stuff lol 😂
Hey Joe, will you be working somewhere during the month of July? I'm heading down to South Dakota around that time and wanted drop by your work place to drop some homemade chili sauce for you to try out.
I should be hanging out in the Black Hills around mid-July. That would be awesome man!
I'm going to the Get On ADV Fest, once I arrive into the area, I'll try to hook up with you.
Hi dmv, hav just paid a deposit for my nc750x dct hav had a test ride on one and can't wait for the delivery. I hope all is good with you. I hav been following your utube channel for months and really enjoy all your videos keep safe my friend catch you soon..robin
Awesome! I think you'll like it
As an avid camper and outdoor enthusiast, I've had my fair share of grilling experiences. I used to be a Traeger+ user, but I recently switched to Asmoke and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The temperature control on the Asmoke grill is far superior. The dual sensors and new PID algorithm make it easy to maintain the perfect temperature, ensuring my food is always cooked to perfection. Not to mention, the Asmoke grill is much lighter and more portable than my previous grill, making it the perfect companion for my moto-camping trips. It's also battery-powered, which is a game-changer for off-grid camping. The convenience and versatility of the Asmoke grill simply can't be beaten. Plus, the unique flavors from the wood pellets add a whole new dimension to my meals. Highly recommend to all my fellow campers out there. #Asmoke
Another great video. Always love the gourmet cooking segments. How was the California meeting.
Thanks Gary. California was surprisingly cool. They’ve got a tremendous custom bike scene
Just did that ride a few weeks ago great road
Cool 😎
Your videography skills just keep getting better. Thank you for the entertaining/ educational videos. I usually learn something and am always entertained.
Thanks so much! Cheers
It a deer in June of 2019 ….I lucked out an walked away, be careful Joe!
HIT ! a deer!
That's lucky bro
I HATE them! Lol
There is nothing I hate more then camping in the rain. Everything is wet, you, the bike, the gear, the ground, the wood etc etc. That's usually when I pull into the cheapest bed I can find.
rsm8
👍
We just rode "The Snake" 421 between Blowing Rock NC and Bristol TN. 489 curves and some of it as technical as the Dragon but I don't know the distance. It was virtually us and only a couple cars going the other way on a weds. Encountered a deer running down the center of the road.

Cool 😎
Beautiful countryside Joe....you and scotty got it goin on
That looks good!! 😊👍 thanks for the video! 😀
I got you bro!!
Another great video Joe. Thanks for sharing.👍🏽
Anytime bro 😎
Fyi, bears are attracted to all food odors some more than others. They are even attracted to toothpaste and things like that. That why it is best to cook away from your camp site.
✌😎✌
Hay Joe, where you going with that bike in your hands? LOL 😆. Just kidding. My name is Joe also. How much of the Blue Ridge parkway have you traveled?
A good amount. For me much of it is pretty boring aside from the stretch from Asheville to Cherokee
That chili crisp is extremely addicting, good stuff
Absolutely 💯
Nice
Another good video Joe. I look forward to your cooking narrative. Any back road you ride in those parts is amazing. Until it turns into a muddy goat path, ugh. Where’s your rain gear? Almost every afternoon in summer it rains there. Thanks for posting Joe. Ride safe and stay dry!
Glad you like that man. I’ve never really carried it, because I’m usually avoiding rainy places! 😅
Joe that's beautiful country you road through nice and curvy cool camping spot
Yes it was
I love how people up north think temperatures in the 80s is sweltering hot!!!😂😂😂
Because places like upstate New York Vermont, New Hampshire, even on the rare occasion it breaks into the low 90’s. The humidity is 11%.
When the humidity is high, 80s can be very sweltering. Don't matter where in the world it is.😊
Heh, heh, heh, temps, humidity and shade are all relative. I’ve lived in Texas with three months of triple digit / no rain…pretty hot. I’ve also lived in a foreign country for several months of the year where every day was 110 - 127 degrees Fahrenheit and no rain. I’ve also lived in a place where the temps were -32 below zero Fahrenheit, walking across the snow and it squeaked. Hot is hot. Cold is cold.
Great video Joe. I'm down in southeastern ky. If you're ever this way I'd love to buy ya lunch and lead you through some of our good roads and holes in the wall. Keep up the great work!
Maybe soon, I’m not sure which route I’m taking yet (to Sturgis)
We traveled south from WV on the coal heritage trail many years ago and down the dragon. It was before they had built the nice visitor center you were at. Back then it was sort of a roadside shack selling tshirts and things. I remember that area around the photo tent. It was the first time I had seen the kudzu so bad that it covered everything right to the edge of the pavement.
The turtle was looking for a sunny spot to lay her eggs, that's what the digging was about. It amazes me how far they go from water to lay eggs.
I know it's just that much more to carry, but have you considered a large cheap bottle of hand sanitizer? It's 70 percent rubbing alcohol and makes a great fire starter.
That’s a great idea. Matter of fact, I think I had some but didn’t even think about it lol 😂
Great video Joe. That area really resembles what North Georgia looks like. No wonder why you feel at home when you visit here.. Be safe my friend and collect me a worthless trinket from Sturgis this year , as once again I will not be making it.
All those Southern Appalachian mountains are really similar. Whenever I’m down by y’all I feel like I’m right at home lol. Will miss ya at Sturgis bro
Great rides and good times!
✌️
Great video, thank you Joe
You are so welcome
Anita and I rode that road..she rode her street glide...i believe i was on the goldwing wing ...nice ride..those turtles are tasty and mean...
Shoot thanks for the video ..there's alot of work making this..don't think the brewery was there...peace
Anytime bro! That turtle was looking pretty good lol 😂
Another great video Joe.
Thanks man!
Nice G-Funk style music!
Thanks! 😊
Dam dude if I known you were coming up to Tazewell , I would road down a bought you lunch, I live north of Bluefield wv, and a subscriber of your channel, be safe out there brother
Next time bro!! 😎 thanks
Damn Joe you are in my backyard 👊
Cool 😎
Were i live in Wales, is dragon country.
I've heard about those. Some of them are harboring a fair maiden or two.
Awesome joe ....I enjoyed that...😉👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@dirtymotorcyclevagabond We actually have some things in common... I have the same bike but DCT... Also I prefer carnivore way of eating.. Thanks for showing there's a lot more to being on the road than being on the road...😉👍👍
Cool video
What is your favorite camping state
Good question. Florida is really good in the fall and spring. South Dakota and Montana are good in the summer. And Utah is really great when it’s not too hot
What kind of boots did you get?
Ended up with a set of TCX. Probably not offering max protection but they’re super comfortable
I tell people all the time that the trail is overrated and like you said its a marketing scheme. I much prefer other roads that i can ride and still be able to somewhat look around as that is what riding a motorcycle is about..... Enjoying the scenery...not how low/fast/how much scrapping and all that you can do!
Absolutely! 💯
Good video. How is the new helmet?
Love it!
What's that state park and resort down that way I seem to remember a rt 10
Hungry Mother probably
I don't remember longtime ago campground golf course museum good food keep up the good work enjoy everything you do thanks
Any tips on getting jobs at bike events.? Just looking for something to do on the road
You can show up early and find where the vendors set up. Then ask around if anyone needs help.
@@dirtymotorcyclevagabond thank you so much for the response.. much appreciated
@dirtymotorcyclevagabond have you messed with tiktok much.? I think it could help your project a lot.. its definitely helping me on my adventure tremendously
I’ve really been looking at the CB500X as my next bike. I’ve had a 2020 R3 and an ‘88 Goldwing project. But I find myself really looking up this bike online a lot! Anyone here wish to name a couple pros and cons on this bike?
Good question, hopefully some one else will chime in. For myself- its got a low center of gravity, lots of storage space, and is lightweight. The downside is its not great for long stretches of highway
You eat turtle?
I’ve had snapping turtle soup a couple times. It’s pretty delicious
Kinda beefy
@@dirtymotorcyclevagabond I wouldn't have the heart to kill it
@@dirtymotorcyclevagabond dog, turtle, what else
Haha never tried dog, though I had the chance in Vietnam. I’m with ya- I’d hate to take an animal’s life unless necessary
👍
