You know, if Jin had just said "Yes, Lord Shimura" instead of "Nah, fam I know what I'm doing" and shown even fake remorse, he would have gotten back onto Shimura's good side.
Did… Did you watch the video? The Shogun would’ve demanded someone’s head for defying orders and committing the equivalent of a war crime. Shimura told him to blame it all on Yuna to save himself. There’s no way Jin would ever do that. Yuna is already a dear companion of his, and he would be dead several times over if not for her. Its not like he could have just gone “Yes Dad!” and everything would be forgotten. Yuna would be taken into custody and eventually executed.
