I remember being able to beat the elite four AND the champion more easily than i could beat cynthia by herself. she's definitely the most intimidating champion by far, imo.

I absolutely love this song. I think it matches Cynthia's character perfectly. It's very elegant and beautiful with a bit of playfulness, but at the same time you can almost feel the raw power and it's commanding presence.

I have this headcanon that, for as beloved and respected as Cynthia is, she is also widely _feared,_ to the point that even many seasoned veteran trainers don’t want to fight her.
Platinum is still my favorite by far. White was still really cool for me (Cause of Zekrom and being able to face Cynthia again) but the Sinnoh League is the hardest thing I've ever done in any pokemon game. Having a Garchomp of my own I thought I could be a champ and beat her Garchomp with mine. Turns out Cynthia is a savage and doesn't take anyones shit.
Jep Platinum is the best Pokemon Game imo. Spent probably about 2000 hours on it xD

I love how even after the addition of fairy types Cynthia still maintains the most balanced team and even providing two counters the type itself and having the type herself with togekiss countering dragons and dark types.
Cynthia is by far my favorite character. I mean.. I was 6-5 yrs old when i first played platinum with my father, how many times I was asking to myself "Why isn't she real?" while listening to this ; how many times I've dreamed of scenes that could've been playable / watchable on the tv / ds? My god, I fell on a emulator last week, and I couldn't stop playing platinum all over. I almost played 65hrs in ONE WEEK, and so far, that's the best nostalgic trip i've ever did.

I've been hearing that there won't be remakes of *Generation IV* but we can't be sure of that because they said the same about *Generation III*. If they do, they better fix the Surfing speed, add _Platinum_ elements, find a way to give us the remaining Pokemon who are missing their *Hidden Abilities* and some bonus stuff. I can't imagine an *Infernape* Mega Evolution.

But the DP remakes...I need them...
But Mega Torterra, Infernape, Empoleon and probably Staraptor ot Gastrodon, maybe Bronzong...has to happen.

90% of the comments here are talking about how hard or good a champion cynthia was. And while I do agree with everything, isn't anyone going to actually talk about the theme itself? It fits her character perfectly. When I heard this for the first time I just stopped playing the game to hear this theme and continued to hear it for the next 2 min. I then showed this theme to my friend who wasn't a pokemon fan and even he just stood there in awe.

For the first female Champion in the series, Cynthia did everything right. Kickass theme, great battle theme, slick Lucario-inspired outfit, fiendishly difficult battle itself (that Lucario is the stuff of nightmares), and shown to be kind and intelligent outside of battles. A very memorable character, unlike some of the other Champions.

@@ikanasin3983leon was not difficult, we already knew his main pokemon in 10 minutes gameplay. Most of his pokemon were already been shown. It can be challenging with the starter you probably didn't see or if it is your first pokemon game. Cynthia has pokemons that you rarely see, milotic(due its rarity), lucario(its rare too), spiritomb(your first fight with it probably), togekiss(it's rare but Cynthia gives you a togepi in platinum), garchomp(rare to encounter before the 8th gym badge) and roserade it's the only exception
I think this is one of the biggests reasons why Cynthia is my favorite champion. It's just awesome! Like its telling you that something big is coming

Imagine the awesomeness if this theme played throughout the full battle! Sure, I enjoy the current battle theme, but I honestly think this theme during the entirety of the battle would stand out more from the rest of the battle themes in game, and would gave a more significant impact.

Hey, Princess Peach could stand to be a little more badass like Cynthia. If Bowser managed to capture Cynthia and she couldn't escape, she'd start trying to sabotage the Koopa Kingdom from the inside--messing with Bowser's head, having her Pokémon stage prisoner revolts, etc. You can be a damsel in distress without being meek and helpless.

if she ever comes back in a new pokemon game, i seriously want this theme as her battle theme while throwing you an EV maxed, lvl100 Garchomp and one-shots your entire team while you are still early in the game's story.
and if you have a high lvl pokemon, script it so the pokemon NEVER follows your orders no matter what during that battle.
if they ever do the remastered version of platinum or Diamond/Pearl, i would like to see Cynthia playing with the piano with this theme before the battle
