Charlie Martin, in the 1981 film, On Golden Pond. Ron Carlisle, in the 1982 film, Tootsie. McKittrick, in the 1983 film, WarGames. Nelson Fox, in the 1998 film, You've Got Mail. Commodore Louis Kaestner, in the television series, Boardwalk Empire. And Burton Fallin, in the television series, The Guardian.
    English actor, Bernard Hill, died on May 5, 2024, at the age of 79. He was best known for his roles, as Theoden, in the 2002 film, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. And the 2003 film, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. Philos, in the 2002 film, The Scorpion King. Warden Luther Plunkitt, in the 1999 film, True Crime. He won six Grammy Awards during his 65-year career, which spanned from 1959 to 2024. He played with David Bowie, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, BB King, Paul Simon, and many others.
    American actress, Susan Buckner, died on May 2, 2024, at the age of 71. She was most known for starring, opposite, John Travolta, and Olivia Newton-John, in the 1978 film, Grease. She also appeared in films, and television series, such as, Deadly Blessing. The Love Boat. And The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries.
    American actor, and film producer, Mark Damon, passed away on May 12, at the age of 91. As an actor, he was best known for playing, Philip Winthrop, in the 1960 film, The Fall of the House of Usher. As a film producer, he worked on 70 films.
    American actor, Terry Carter, died on April 23, at the age of 95. He was best known for his role, as Colonel Tigh, in the American science fiction television series, Battlestar Galactica. He was also known for playing, Sgt. Joe Broadhurst, in 42 episodes of the 1970s television series, McCloud.
    American author, Paul Auster, died of cancer, on April 30, 2024, at the age of 77. He was best known for his New York Trilogy, consisting of the 1985 novel, City of Glass. The 1986 novel, Ghosts. And the 1986 novel, The Locked Room. His books have been translated into more than 40 languages.
    English Hall of Fame musician, and songwriter, Mike Pinder, died on April 24 at the age of 82. He was a founding member, vocalist, and keyboardist, of the rock group, the Moody Blues, from 1964, to 1978. The band’s most famous songs are, Nights In White Satin. Go Now. Question. And Tuesday Afternoon.
    American actor, film producer, and comedian, Zack Norman, died on April 28, at age 83. He was known for starring in the 1984 film, Romancing the Stone. And the 1990 film, Cadillac Man.
    Scottish actor, Brian McCardie, died on April 28, at the age of 59. His most famous role was, as John Thomas Hunter in the British police procedural series, Line of Duty. In total, he appeared in more than 80 film and television productions.
    American actress, Marla Adams, died on April 25, at the age of 85. She was most known for playing, Dina Abbott Mergeron, in 235 episodes of the television soap opera, The Young and the Restless.
    American Hall of Fame guitarist, Duane Eddy, died of cancer, on April 30, at the age of 86. He was best known for his pioneering work in rock and roll music, particularly in the late 1950s and early 1960s. During his 70 year career, he sold more than 100 million records. He was the most commercially successful instrumental artist in the history of rock and roll.
