I am glad to see that Monroeville is still there cause like all the malls in the country is in trouble hopefully will be there at least a few more years.
The Monroeville Mall isn't going anywhere. It'll be here forever. If shit starts to look bad for the famous mall, fans will start a Kickstarter to keep it alive.
I didn't know such a tour existed. I have always wanted to go to this place since I was a child. I'm really jealous.😉 But I'm glad I was able to see a little more detail through your video. thank you! !✨✨
It truly is a special place. Just standing inside the mall is something you need to experience at least once. It has indeed gone through MANY changes over the years and basically looks nothing like it did in the movie. But I'm telling you, it STILL has THAT vibe... you can feel it.
HA! There I am! At the 12 second mark, right side of the screen, barely on camera. Love seeing Jeffrey at the end in the Boiler Room! I’ll be on the Friday evening tour again next weekend!
I'm curious as to what the plant room is for. I presume it's to keep power on for the entire shopping centre and to keep the water pressure up. I've worked in a couple of shopping centre's, but they didn't have anything like that in them. Water pressure was what ever came from the regular mains water supply and only large department stores and supermarkets had their own back-up power generators.
I think cause it's an old mall, most of this stuff has been year for decades and since the mall was built so over time they just had to keep updating but still using what they had. Still cool that the HVAC room still sounds the same as it did in the film.
