Always love that you touch on all points when visiting a country, even if they aren’t beautiful. It’s important to be educated on things like the genocide. and WOW Cambodia is so underrated!!

In 1984 a movie was made called "the Killing Fields" that tells the story of what happened in Cambodia. It's an amazing movie that I'm quite surprised I have never seen on TV or Netflix. Great video as always!

I litterally came back from Cambodia yesterday. Thanks for also mentioning the Khmer rouges, it deserves to be talked about. I visited Tuol Sleng, my father was a student there a year before it turned into a prison.

I hope to visit my mother’s country one day! Cambodia looks so gorgeous and full of history. Thank you for sharing this and for talking about the killing fields as well, not a lot of people are aware this even took place. I grew up listening to so many stories from my grandparents and their journey to America to find safety/ a new life. I’m hoping to bring my grandma to Cambodia some day- all she’s ever talked about is going home and seeing her beautiful country one last time.
Oh man I was born in Cambodia in 69 and I've experienced war and genocide and escaped to America And still traumatized by war. I am so glad that Cambodia recovered and as beautiful as this. Maybe one day I'll be back there to live out my life. Thank you for sharing brother.

I am living in Cambodia and totally approve about what you say but there is so much more to see over there : hiking in the Ratanakiri Moutains, visiting the countryside, going to Kampot where pepper and salt are produced... You should make a second video 😊
Combodia is a totally corrupt country. When i visited there the border officer was asking me triple the money for a visa. And the same thing now happens with my friend recently. Totally boycott this country. Worst country.

I wasn't aware of Cambodia's history so thank you so much for addressing it AND including the "damper" of the killing fields. It's important to remember our histories, especially the tragedies so that we may honor the past but learn and grow from it.
Also it was really interesting to see that entire city being rebuilt with Chinese casinos 😯 Was it hit with a hurricane beforehand or something?
My sisters-in-law visited Cambodia and their photos and stories from Angkor Wat were so interesting!

My family was survivors of the Khmer Rouge , I’m really glad that I’m able to even be here and it was amazing that they decided to address that
You did a surprisingly good job, thank you, I was ready to rag ( put shit ) on this video. I lived in Cambodia since 2013, very tough now because I lost my job as a teacher because I decided to self isolate, I'm 64, heavy smoker, but that's beside the point. Most videos about Cambodia are about cheap girls, alchohol and drugs. Thank you.
Is teaching English still an option in Cambodia now? Are they still hiring teachers despite the pandemic? I would really like to do go but you need to pay a 2k deposit, get 50k health insurance and since you have to be in country to get a job you have no guarantees. Thanks for your thoughts.
@@motogplounge6305 I live outside of Phnom Penh in a village and used to travel each day. I really don't know about teaching positions anymore. At the moment coming to Cambodia ,in my opinion is not a good idea. Having a lot of problems and lockdowns.

Sihanoukville used to be one of the most beautiful beach in the world before Chinese construction. Most beaches in Cambodia are white sandy except Keb. I suggest people go to visit Kos Kong on the South West of Cambodia close to Thailand. The beach there is beautiful but Chinese construction has started too. Have fun guys.
I was there for two weeks, working on missions, I love everything about Cambodia.

I’ve been to Sihanoukville many times, starting in 2003. It’s shocking to see it how it is now. I’d say it was at its best around about 2011, there were some casinos and modern shops but it had lost none of its charm... by 2015 it was starting to get crazy, now it’s unrecognisable compared to the place I first went to in 2003. I’m so sad it’s gone forever but so grateful that enjoyed it so much while I could.
Now has the Macaques hunters and ovners taking over most of Cambodia. Take time to see whats going on ,on you tube and facebook . They abusing and kills hundreds of monkey babyes for viewers and money ewery day. And the authority lauging every time they see a Macaques been abused and killed in the media.
