Created as a companion video to my series of DISNEY EVOLUTION videos (specifically 'Evolution of MINNIE MOUSE, Over 91 Years (1928-2019) Explained'), I take a look at the vocal evolution of the character as I compare the voices of all of Minnie's official voice actors over time, including Walt Disney, Marjorie Ralston, Marcellite Garner, Thelma Boardman, Ruth Clifford, Janet Waldo, Russi Taylor.

@@Tswa2606 Notice, they said Donald's nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie as well as Mr. Scrooge's housekeeper Ms. Beakley's granddaughter Webby Vanderquack from the original _Ducktales_ series. Donald himself had Charence "Ducky" Nash & later Tony Anselmo as his voices, but his nephews & adopted niece were originally voiced by Russi Taylor until the recent 2017 _Ducktales_ reboot.
Whoever succeeds Russi as Minnie is going to have quite an task on their hands.
Now's the time for recasting. Russi is dead.
I really hope that Disney Character Voices chooses someone that not only sounds reminiscent to Russi Taylor's Minnie but also makes Minnie her own voice once she takes over the mantle.
Yeah but we'll see. Russi will be missed nonetheless.

Walt Disney: Love Disney's work but his Minnie.... I'm
Marjorie Ralston: Sad she was so shy, as she definitely had potential.
Marcellite Garner: The first truly great Minnie voice. She really set the standard for Minnie's voice with her sweet and lovely voice. Loved watching her cartoons. Also, her laugh just my be the best laugh of all the Minnie's.
Thelma Boardman/Hubbard: She was also the original Spanish speaking voice of Snow White. It was highly criticized. She sounds nice, but it doesn't scream Minnie.
Ruth Clifford: I like the effort, but I feel she lacks the quality of the Garner and Taylor.
Janet Waldo: a nice voice overall.
Russi Taylor: my absolute favorite Minnie. She truly captures Minnie's voice in just about everything. So happy she's still Minnie.

Clifford should be a lot higher. Her voice was clearly the inspiration for Russi Taylor's interpretation so I feel like that earns her a higher spot. She's top 3 for sure.
Russi is my favorite. She was also the voices of Huey, Dewy, and Louie and Webby in the original DuckTales series.

Wayne Alwind and Russi Taylor are the perfect Mickey and Minnie voice acting duo and I’m really shocked they actually married each other in 1991 and lasted 18 years together untill Wayne passed in 2009 and now ten years later in 2019 russi passed away I can imagine in an alternate universe there both still alive I hope the new voices for Minnie goes well
R.I.P. Russi Taylor. She brought so much life to Minnie, to the point where it's almost impossible to imagine anyone else in the role, even though there WERE others before her! Now THAT'S a testament to true talent! At least she went out on the sweetest performance possible in the recent short "Carried Away". She will be sorely missed. Though a tough act to follow, here's hoping that they find a worthy successor to her.
How's Kaitlyn Robrock doing so far?
I absolutely adore Marcellite Garner as Minnie!! I love the sweet quality of her voice. She, also, had the most adorable Minnie laugh. So funny that she got the job because she just so happened to be the ink and paint girl who spoke Spanish! Haha! And I, actually, really like Ruth Clifford too. I feel like Russi Taylor's voice almost sounds like a slight merging between the two (and I wouldn't be terribly surprised if that's how she approached it initially).
Me too but it kinda bugs me that there’s only one picture of her in the world existed in the 30s or late 20s

I think Marcellite Garner sounds great. She sounds energetic, bubbly, and young.
Some voices and information you missed.
1. Shirley Reed voiced Minnie in the short Two-Gun Mickey except for the end, which was done by Garner.
2. Leone LeDoux voiced Minnie between 1937 to 1939 and again from 1946 and 1950.
3. Boardman also voiced Minnie in Mickey’s Birthday Party.
4. And of course, Kaitlyn Robrock (I knew this video was released before then)

Russi Taylor will always be my favorite voice of Minnie, that was the voice of Minnie I grew up with as a kid. Kaitlyn Robrock is the current voice of Minnie, & she sounds a lot like Russi Taylor’s voice of Minnie. I think Kaitlyn voiced Minnie in the Wheel Of Fortune Secret Santa episodes she appeared in.

Looks like Minnie Mouse is part Hispanic with one of her earliest voice actresses, Marcellite Garner, really diffining how Minnie's voice would sound from her time up to even today.

Oh oh Minnie Mouse. I love her, her voice was so cute 🥰. I especially like that voice actress that played as Minnie in the early 1940s, she also played as the elephant wearing blue in the movie Dumbo. I always adored Minnie Mouse since I was a kid and I will never forget her. And I remember watching a few of these old cartoons on TH-cam. In a few old cartoons I’ve seen, she was the owner of the dog Pluto and she has a cat named Figaro.

Marcellite Garner is my favorite Minnie voice, she sounds like Minnie to me, ESPECIALLY in 1938-1941 just Minnie, Russi Taylor is good and all, but I never get Minnie out of her performance, Ruth Clifford to me is in second place.

Something you really don’t expect seeing but really fucking funny to think of.
Dunno why Minnie gets away with it when people complain about Peach's voice when they're both similar and fit their designs.
I think because Minnie is often portrayed with a bit more of a personality, Peach comes across as quite of an oblivious airhead alot of the time. The new Mickey Mouse shorts especially give Minne a much wider range of quirks to her character.

Russi and Ruth honestly had the best voices for Minnie. Whoever voices her next should have their similar style of speech and vocal pattern.

And in 1933, in an interview with Film Pictorial magazine, Uncle Walt said it himself: "Are Mickey & Minnie married? A lot of people have written to him asking this question. [...] In private life, Mickey IS married to Minnie. But what this all amounts to is that, for all intents & purposes, Minnie is Mickey's leading lady. [...] But here at the studio, we've already decided that they're married already."
There's even been proof in more recent decades (namely, following the mice couple's 90th birthday) that Mickey's finally "put a ring on it", since there's video evidence showing theme park Mickey proposing to theme park Minnie, putting the ring on her gloved finger & then the couple cutely flirt with each other as the audience "oohs", "ahhs", and says "aww" in response.

In LatinAmerica The dub started on 1964 since then luckily minnie only had 3 voices 1 main, and 2 secondary voices Diana Santos (1964-present) Romina Marroquin (singing voice 2012-present) and Marcela Bordes (a few classical shorts who were dubbed at 1990s and brain runaway)

I'm actually surprised how high her voice really is, even i can replicate that, well sort of!
Do you have any idea what pitch her voice is at? My normal speaking pitch is about A3 or 217-223 on average but I can get to over 400 hz without too much trouble. I wonder if she's in that range but I can't tell

I think the problem with early Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck cartoons is that they weren’t given much personality; they were developed almost exclusively to be Mickey and Donald’s girlfriends. But Russi Taylor and Tress MacNeille, in addition to works from modern decades, gave Minnie and Daisy much more personality.
