"A Tribute to Daniel Halpern" was held on May 6, 2010 in the Rosenthal Pavilion of New York University--sponsored by the Academy of American Poets, the Poetry Society of America, the NYU Creative Writing Program, and HarperCollins Publishers.
Halpern is the author of numerous books of poetry, including Something Shining (Knopf, 1999), Selected Poems (1996), Foreign Neon (1991), and many others. He is also the founding editor of ECCO Press and the literary journal Antaeus.
