I like the RH piece better in the living room. It added some interest and made the room look more curated (the way vintage/antique pieces do in a modern room). Otherwise, it can all start to look the same.

Just not used to the lower profile but I feel like it looks too small and you have several other low profile pieces already in the room. The more substantial piece seemed to add more balance. Just my opinion.

Just purchased a mushroom lamp because of your inspiration. Sorry, I liked the RH piece where it was. Plants: You can purchase a water gauge that will tell you how wet the dirt around your plants is.

I love your videos so much so I'm sad to say that I like the other dresser in the Living Room soooo much more. It looked so much classier and richer. But have to admit I've always hated modern so I guess it's all about different tastes. Thanks for all your videos of your home and trips!!
I loved this video! I like the RH piece under the staircase and was a good balance to the not only the fireplace but the other furniture pieces in the room. I have a big pot of rosemary and it is doing really well, I think the trick is to let it grow on it's own and don't overwater it. I just love your garden, please keep making more videos like this.

For your plant outside you need a drip system to water slowly at night for happy luscious plants.
We live in Arizona, and without a watering system, everything would have to be fake! We have chosen all drought-tolerant plants, but they still need some water!

I agree! The watering of the garden should be shared. They can also have their children water the garden too.
We definitely divide up the tasks around the house! I do almost all of the cooking and cleaning, laundry, etc so watering lands in Jack's court, but everyone has tasks to do! It's too much for one person to do everything!
Keep the RH piece! It was such beautiful relief from all the modern decor. Everything though, beautiful, could use a little interest and I think your RH piece fit the bill. Also, your paintings are starting to look "all the same". I love what you do and how you decorate, but think about adding just a few different styled pieces and give the eyes some rest.
Since moving back to GA from Texas, I have gone back to my Southern Cottage decor but now have incorporated some of our beautiful contemporary paintings and they add such interest in to our rooms. ❤ from GA
I love the RH piece no matter where it ends up. But I did like it at the staircase - I think the extra height of the RH chest provides a nice balance with the fireplace mantle... especially with the super high ceiling height!

I also love the RH dresser better under your staircase. I don’t dislike the others - maybe if the black and white picture was off and you styled it with your great decor pieces it might grow on me. I’ve bought the Trader Joe’s pasta and loved it but will definitely do the lemons and olives - it looked amazing. I kept yelling V, pay attention to the pasta while you were speaking but it looked amazing. I love the white scalloped bowl your lemons were in. Ugh I wish it wasn’t so expensive otherwise I’d buy it. Is there a dupe on Amazon? By the way, I’ve planted gardenias and they hare full sun - learned that mistake and now I have them in partial shade growing much better. Also, there’s many plants that hate sharing a pot with Ivy so I’m not surprised the rosemary is annoyed. Love your yard and can’t want to see the changes you make. I actually love the big trees in the back. There’s a plant called “Jacob’s Ladder”. That grows under trees and has a variegated lead that looks stunning under tree shade. It’s low growing and covers any ground imperfections. I recently went to a home that had it and fell in love. Anyway great video V.

A beautiful very moody landscape with a gorgeous wintage frame , not too big on top of it, will give the area the needed contrast to avoid flatness...

Try sprinkling cayenne pepper where you don't want critters. It works for us when I remember to do it.

Thanks for the tour! Everything is looking so lovely. You might want to put your potted plants and front garden on a drip system so that you don't have to remember to water. It will pay off in the long run since you won't be replacing plants. I follow Laura on "garden answers YT channel" and she puts her big planters on drip. I am still hand watering everything and this hot summer has been daunting. 🙂 I always enjoy your videos!
Poor Jack I know some women who would appreciate having him whether he waters or not. My husband just discovered he has stage 4 cancer and I’m treasuring every second ❤. I hope this never happens to you. Cherish this guy. He’s the best! YOU are so lucky. Hey women it would hurt you to grab a hose if you are that hot outside buy fake !
I believe people really don’t think about things that deep. I’m disabled, and I rely heavily on my husband for most of my activities of daily living. I started making sure every day, he knows how grateful I am. Without him, I know that I would be in a nursing home at age 64. Jack is truly a keeper!!
Thanks for sharing this reminder. I will say a prayer for your husband. I do think as women we sometimes think it’s okay to speak to our spouses in an unkind way. I have been guilty of this myself. We should be more mindful. Our jobs are to show our spouses in a good light and not constantly deprecate every little thing they do to others. It gets tiring and it actually makes us look bad and demeans them in the process. Blessings to you and your husband!

I love the dresser. For some reason (on TV anyway), it looks like it belongs on the bottom of the staircase. I admit I don't live there, though. Lol.😂 I love it all, and I really liked seeing these cabinets.
Just cut back all the dead branches and or leaves on the tree & take all crispy pieces off then put it in a shaded, yet sunny spot. That tree has a lot of life left in it but crispy dead parts need to go...your geraniums you did it right. They can get leggy at end of season but can cut back and will fill back in...I have them going all year. I also buy new ones every season because I love the fullness. Cutting off the dead in any plant encourages life. Nutrients and energy not wasted. My vote RH dresser my favorite. Looks more balanced and high quality. You have to live with it so what makes you happy. Loving your back patio I'm a plant lover. With plants you win some and lose some. Everyone has a green thumb over time is just learning to hear what a plant is telling you. Usually want to be moved to another area when not thriving. Clean your tree up give it a Lil nutrition and maybe re-pot? Thank you and blessings to you and yours.

You might want to try if those plant water/soil indicator sticks help. My husband put one in all of our indoor citrus plants to let us know if it’s time to water it because it changes color. And, we finally have some fruits hanging!
The low profile furniture looks good in that space. Although the picture in the background is too distracting - if it was black with white strokes it might be better - although I'm not sure - when looking through the screen it just look a little too 'dizzy'. - too busy. I love lemon pasta! Trader Joe's also sells grilled olives which are scrumptious! oh and if you like sauteeing the pasta you should try “spaghetti all'assassina”. Sooo good!!!

I am way too chatty today, so sorry!! I do like the new piece instead of the RH piece because I haven’t seen the RH piece in there before. So to me it looks great!! Also that’s not an area that needs great attention so I think it’s perfect. Even though it’s suppose to be minimal some cute black accents (handle, knobs) May level it up a bit. The boxwoods weren’t over watered. I think you planted the boxwoods at the wrong time. It was way too hot and then you left for Greece. Plant closer to the fall when the weather is cooler.

Hi from UK 🇬🇧, just a thought why don’t you get automatic watering for your Boxwoods on your porch? That way they won’t die due to Jack forgetting to water them? Also because your weather is so hot out there, they probably need to be watered twice per day otherwise.

add coffee and mortar ground clean eggshells for the ficus at least (most plants like coffee grounds for the nitrogen, and potted plants need more nitrogen and calcium than most. Rubber trees especially.
If you're not already fertilize them every three months with at least a general fertilizer - best with a specific fertilizer.
That weeping ficus will perk up in no time.
I liked your great room better with the black under the stairs. That’s what drew me to your channel. Now your great room is just too white. I rather liked your moody color better. But that’s just me.

Have you thought about widening your front porch steps? It doesn't look very inviting, and appears as though you can only enter the house single file.
Totally agree - they should extend the steps to just inside of the pillars.

Neem oil on everything at night. Do it once in a while especially after rain. Your boxwoods look like bugs might be getting at them.

How do you keep the bugs and spiders away from your patio area. I live in Grayson ga and I am constantly fighting with bugs. Suggestions would be great. I’ve been spraying peppermint like crazy but it doesn’t last.

If your intake vent is still at the location where the RH dresser was, you really shouldn’t block the intake. Perhaps relocate the vent.

How about planting that dying tree in your garage in your garden , it'll add dimension and character ...
In my humble opion, your house front steps are too narrow and small for the front door. It made it looks like an after thought, that someone just hastily put that little steps there. I would have it redone, makes it wider, thicker steps and of stone texture to match your stone front porch area. That little steps take away the grandness of the nice house.
Dont feel bad jack, watering plants is actually harder than it seems to get it right. Water deep and gives adequate rest days in betwween to allow roots to breath.
Get rid of weed looking ones ?
I'd remove most of it start over new, more garden friendly for you
