      Flores's lawsuit forces the NFL to prove its stance that the"Roony Rules isn't a shame, a farce. It forces the NFL to present documentation. Not good for the NFL. Exposing their their"dirty laundry isn't what they want. And without legal confrontation in regards to racism and bigotry, change can't happen. You can't force people NOT to racist or bigoted. But you can certainly hold them accountable for their actions and behaviors.

      Want to list some of these "plenty of instances"? At the end of the day the coaches are in charge of the team and if the team fails its on them. You think these owners care what color their coaches are if they win and make their team money? There's more black people in all levels of coaching today than there ever has been. This entire case is just I didn't get the job I wanted so lets use the race card. This is what happens when you have modern America making everything about race. It's also laughable he tries to say the league is like a plantation. I'm pretty sure everyone here would love to be on a plantation where you play 17 games a year and make millions of dollars.

    As a lawyer who works on employment discrimination cases, I don’t know why people think this is a loser case. 1) why would the NY lawyers take on this case if it’s a loser of a case; 2) the burden of proof in title VII cases (civil rights act of 1964) is “preponderance of evidence” or more than 50% (not definitive proof, not beyond a reasonable doubt); 3) the sham interview is enough evidence to make out a prima facie case of discrimination in the employment context.

      The case study for me is Pete Carroll, who had a losing record with the Jets in ‘94. He then was hired 3 years later by the Pats and had an average record. He THEN was hired 11 years later in 2010 by the Seahawks where he’s had success.
      Not saying that Carroll shouldn’t have had these opportunities but we ALL know that the average Black applicant ain’t even getting the FIRST opportunity and THEN have to be at LEAST as good as Carroll in his 3rd stint just to have a chance to KEEP the damn job! Wait, so saying white people are the problem 3 times obnoxiously is a nuanced way to talk about race? What change? Ultimately in the end, the fundamental change whatever is, would be decided by white people on whether or not to give and do more for minorities.

    • @CodyVanRyn
      @CodyVanRyn 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@hansolo6101 context matters...had he just said white people obnoxiously 3 times, it would have been just as condescending and worthless as dan and mike just callously saying we live in a racist country. But Bo gives the listener more than rhetoric, he doesnt allow people to come at him with "not all white people" so the dialog can move beyond that back and forth. He even calls it out that you cant call people racist and expect any actual development because people just get defensive or offensive to protect themselves. Bo aint perfect, but he reminded me of daryl davis in this pod, which in my opinion is a high compliment to bo or anyone.

    I am almost certain that all NFL Teams that were looking for a QB; already knew that Flores was not going to break any rules to satisfy any NFL owner. The word was out ( Allegedly by Ross) on Flores and so he had no shot on getting hire by any NFL team.

    I'm no lawyer but I don't think you have to prove your case in the complaint phase. And at that part of the lawsuit, everything the Plaintiff states has to be taken as true. The other thing is, I don't think he's trying to prove racism, but rather discrimination. I think his going to file EEOC charges, which again is discrimination, not racism.

      It's like you want black people to suffer. One is a symbolic thing. The other has a real world impact.

    Bomani said he was suprised that Ross didn't do his homework on Flores before making the alleged tanking offers.
    Flores has a good rep and you would think Dolphins would avoid people with integrity. But Ross, like the other owners, are so arrogant he doesnt care if he gets caught.

    The Giants GM came from Buffalo. Owner gave him a task rehab Danny Dimes. To do this he got the OC he personally knows from his last job tht developed Josh Allen. This was the decision he made the moment he got hired. Inversely look at Flores record of bucking his leadership (a black gm), he refused to tank so they end up with Tua instead of Burrow, instead of developing Tua he benches him 1st quarter for Fitzpatrick, then refused a meeting with either Watson or Brady. The job of this coach is to fix Danny Dimes why wud u hire Flores considering how he botched QB in three major ways for Miami?

  • @habiba7351
    @habiba7351 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    He might actually have hired Jose Baes if it were a criminal case. Jose has quite the track record and isn't afraid to go against the big guys. The team Flores picked doesn't seem to mess around, either, and they have a personal relationship with him from what i have gathered. Definitely agreed regarding Brady. He isn't the victory lap kind of guy. That said, I dislike that insiders feel the need to announce retirements before athletes have a chance to do so. They did Andrew Luck so dirty and learned nothing from it.
