I used to think alot about speaker cable and using bigger more expensive copper ones until it clicked, after opening many sets of speakers i noticed the wires from the inside of the terminal post to the crossover then to speakers was nowhere near as big as my external wires,so i found it pointless using anything bigger than what is inside the speakers enclosure.

The most I’ve ever spent on cables were for my Mofi Sourcepoint 10. I purchased a set of Worlds Best Cables Ultimate - 7 AWG cables. One thing is for sure. If cables could be built like tanks, these cables are it.189 a set. Is there scientific proof that cables actually have a “sound”. Not sure. I do find it hilarious though when seeing people post about a particular cables “sound”. Perhaps they do. I just go for cables that are built well and to last. Indeed... cables do matter but at what cost ? High end cables are priced like jewelry... up to 500% markup ! I am thrilled with my Amazon cables and have the rest of the $$$ invested for the future.

Low capacitance doesn't even matter a whole lot for speaker cable, that's more applicable for instrument and microphone cable for example.

The extent of the effect probably depends on the elements of the chain.
I have seven types of speaker cables. My system sounds different with each one.
The effect of the speaker cables on the sound is greater than that of the connecting cables (between DAC and amplifier).

Are these Micca cables actually 4 meters? Amazon's site says they are 12 feet/4 meters, but 12 feet is not the same as 4 meters. 4 meters is about 13 feet 1.5 inches. Can anyone clarify what the actual length is?

most amps etc I've seen recommend 14 ga wires not $ 200 a foot stuff, just copper wire. I'm using 10 ga now, used 14 ga 'monster' type for like 2 decades no problem but thought it was getting funky, at least visually. the standard wire gauge per length of wire run factor.
I have had problems with ' banana plugs' from E bay ( nakamichi brand ) breaking. irritating.

A lot talk about cable but nobody has mentioned the csa of the cable being used . If you compare 30 foot of the stuff that comes with a car radio to 6 inch of heavy monster cable, the difference will be very obvious. So cable does make a difference.
