  • In this episode we will show you three different Blob patterns. These are without question some of the best patterns for reservoir trout flyfishing. Three different iterations of the famous BLOB fly.

    Pattern 1:
    Hook: Standard dryfly or nymph hook in a size #10 - #12
    Thread: Fluo tying thread of your choice
    Tail: Crystalflash
    Body: Flybox Gel Core Fritz 15mm
    Pattern 2:
    Hook: Flybox barbless spear blob #10
    Thread: Fluo tying thread of your choice
    Foam tail: Foam cilinder or mini booby eyes
    Body: Flybox Eggstasy BLOB
    Pattern 3:
    Hook: Flybox barbless spear blob #10
    Thread: Fluo tying thread of your choice
    Body: Flybox Eggstasy BLOB

    All effective patterns for stillwater fishing and a must for anyone's fly box. The third weighted fly is great for fishing under the bung. Great video.
