Talking a lotta G shit, still not cursing. The funny this that Hammer rolled as deep as any other rapper in the game, but because of his initial image, people thought he was soft
This song cracked me up when I first heard it years ago. DJ No Name on 107.7 Th End in Seattle used to have this song as a gag on his afternoon show 7-8 years ago.

This album marks when he lost most of his "MC HAMMER" fans, as he changed his name to "HAMMER" and went more "street" in his look and sound. But as you know - people don't like change. They wanna see people keep singing the same crap over and over. If they stop, the zombies lose interest. People didn't wanna see Prince with his afro in the end, they wanted him to still have a perm and wear the outfit from "Purple Rain". lol... Idiots! Hammer changed his sound and look to keep up with the new times, and lost many zombies, but picked up new fans who didn't like the "Commercialized" image he had before. He just didn't pick up as many as he lost. Personally, I think Hammer's new look & sound was SLAMMING, and this album was his best ever!! It didn't do well, because Hammer wasn't catering to the industry. You see how Satanic Hollywood is today.... if you're not willing to get gangbanged in a hotel room and claim Satan as your lord & master- then your career is essentially over! Hammer was a CLEAN bro from the old skool, and didn't curse & swear in his music. He wasn't with that shyt... so his career dropped off. I guarantee you he didn't go broke from bad money management - This bro was a financial GENIUS - which is how he got rich in the first place. But if you're not going to play ball with the devil - the devil ain't putting your name in lights - and it's over - no matter how slammin your music is. But if you ARE willing to eat a dykk... your music will top the charts - no matter how LAME it is. (coughbiebercough..coughlilwaynecough..) sorry... i got bad allergies. :)
ruger51995 Much appreciated Ruger! :) Hey, check out Hammer's videos for his Funky Headhunter album. Pumps & Bumps 2 is BANGIN!! He gets DOWN on that shyt!! Shyt is HOT! :) This album shoulda EASILY been gold & platinum - Peace!!

This was his best album. To hell with the haters. I’d bump to this album 100 times before I play any of his other stuff once.

Also new jack swing was in decline by then since Teddy Riley produced the controversial single Pumps & a Bump for Hammer.

What a wonderful song
