Train our teachers, yes, but don't forget that our society is a highly violent one as we can see force being applied everywhere right, left and center. Last time we called it #ENDSARS, but the Nigerian Police don't understand what we mean by brutality if children and adults could be abused at their homes, schools, and worship centers in the name of education, correction, and discipline. In secondary schools, senior students are still being empowered to discipline their younger ones by way of punishment (flogging) The psychologist said it correctly, what we mostly have is the transfer of aggression to the children.
The teacher needs to go for a child protection course she and the other teachers need to be retrained ,the teacher must had been teaching this way for years ,abusing young kids the government needs to send social workers into all schools to do checks without notice
Child abuse should not be prevented in schools as safety protection only also mental health issues of teachers should be locked at by the federal or state government across Nigeria. Beside children's rights lack of food on the table for their day to day is child abuse. Hence a hungry child finds it difficult to concentrate in his or her studies. My take is mental illness in our society should be of concern for the government across the nation
It's when it happens, you people will come and start speaking grammar. Yes there might be laws. But you people don't implement the laws. Na lie this woman they talk. If they do, all these recklessness won't be happening. Qualified teachers won't be taken. Bribery and corruption all over the place.
Thank God we are waking up
