@@Nebujin383This story book is written in Lucifer and lilith’s favor, if not outright by one of them, likely Lilith. And has some major holes in it like how Lilith did anything without free will since the Apple supposedly gave that. Given Lilith is sus as can be given she’s chill at her Ex’s place for 7 years unbeknownst to her husband and daughter, id say she’s untrustworthy to say the least.
It really does seem like Charlie takes after Lucifer the most, seeing as how both are (or were in Lucifer's case) ambitious dreamers, with Lucifer wanting to grant humanity free will and Charlie wanting to redeem sinners, and how both were scorned and rejected for their dreams. Still pretty curious on why Lilith is still left so ambiguous.

If we go by other by the bible there is reasons to god's killing.I know that it is debated on God'd morality (which even as a Christian I can understand why people would question it) but if you are referencing the bible then no Luicifer is evil. He casually makes bets on people turning into the most evil version of themselves they can be and presuades them to do so. The bible literally has said he has possessed people and made them do all evil. He brought sin in to the world and gave things like murder, and rape, and countless other things. Questioning God's morality is understandable but to act like the devil is just chill and is not evil is wrong.

Since Lucifer is the sin of Pride, I would think so. There is no way his story is this shiny, "I did nothing wrong" backstory. If this is to be accurate, he would have lied to make himself look better and make Heaven look like the ones who were wrong even if they weren't.

I loved:
1. The beginning with "Once upon a time", like a old disney movie
2. The animation that is a callback to the pilot's intro
3. The parallels between Charlie and Lucifer as dreamers who are looked down upon for it.

This story ironically captures exactly why Lucifer deserved to go to hell, even as it tried to depict him in the light of good.
Lucifer was an idiot who let his pride get the best of him, and when he let humanity eat from the tree of knowledge, he had destroyed it. He had created a world full of evil and cruelty, all because he felt that humanity was better off with "knowledge".
Lucifer wasn't evil, he was stupid, and he let his feelings and ego cloud his judgement. Stupidity is what allows evil to persevere. When people choose not to confront evil. When people refuse to properly condemn evil. When evil is allowed to persevere, the one responsible isn't them, but the people who are too stupid to put an end to it.
I mean he is the Sin of Pride lol
This was the main reason for the fall of Lucifer in the original translation of the Bible. He was the right hand of God, the most beautiful and smartest of the angels. But at one point he began to express his thoughts to father that he was too cruel towards sinners. He asked for his own kingdom, in which freedom would reign and absolutely everyone would be happy, even those who had committed sin. God granted the pride son's wish, saying that he would be judged by his own mistakes. In the end, everything turned out just like in this series. Sinners received unlimited freedom, and the path to heaven was closed to Lucifer because he considered himself smarter than God.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Not stupid so much as too proud. He is dangerously smart which is why he went through Eve to corrupt Adam. It’s foolish to think of the Devil as stupid, credit where credit is due he accomplished part of what he set out to do after his Fall and the creation of humanity. He corrupted God’s creation with disobedience. But God gave humanity a chance to come back from it by sending His Son to die for the sins of the world. Notice these kinds of shows that talk about God and the devil never mention Jesus, bc he completely flips the script and the conflict is already won. The devil hasn’t won yet. And according to scripture the end is already decided. But people are foolish enough to believe this “alternative fanfiction” bc of their own issues with religion. Jesus is still the only figure in the history of the world that is more proven to have existed than anyone else. His teachings are still drawing people to God even today. I pray His teachings become the dominant influence in our world again. Amen.
Jesus Christ, I was looking for a comment like this, thank you! As much as I like aspects of this show, Viziepop really fails at making Lucifer seem like the good guy. Literally all the problems in the show are his fault, and not only do none of the characters bring it up, Lucifer is never portrayed as being sorry. The Exterminations wouldn't have happened because humans would be enjoying eternal life in paradise, and Adam wouldn't have become evil because Lucifer wouldn't have screwed over Eve and gotten him kicked out of Eden.
I wonder if we'll see Eve in the show aside from this part, like is she in Heaven or Hell and I really wanna see how Adam reacts to knowing that both his wives were wooed by the same guy lol
There's a theory floating around now that Eve has become evil. Like she's the "root of all evil" because she's the one that took the fruit. (And her smile seemed kinda evil in the animation too)

Might be a coincidence, but we just have to see

This does a lot to explain Hell's side of the story. Especially that both Charlie and Lilith have a lot in common when it comes to helping people. As for Lucifer him being a broken man/angel over what happened also explains why he's not up for Charlie's hotel in the first place at least at the moment.

The voice change caught me off guard at first but the clip of him and Vox interacting sold me, I CANNOT wait to watch this!
Ehh I'm not 100% sold on his regular speaking voice, I'm hoping as the VA grows into the role it'll gain more variety as it seems to often just kinda stay at the top w pitch and tone rather than dramatically dipping up and down like the old VA, which makes it less fun to listen to imo. Also miss the heavy radio effect, though I totally understand why they toned it down.
That said, his singing is absolutely fantastic and I'm very much looking forward to more alastor songs

I noticed that similar phrases slip through throughout the series. This makes it clear that Charlie respects his mom. She seems to see Lilith as an authority figure. At the same time, it is also easier for Charlie to talk about something with his mother (as she, for example, in the pilot, after an unsuccessful interview, calls Lilith in search of support).
I would pay 50k just to see 3 minutes of this show!

I don't think so. Vivziepop confirmed that the pilot was cannon, and in the pilot Charlie tried to call her.
Maybe this means that Lilith puts faith in her daughter, that Charlie would be able to do what she couldn't do.
@@algmslaaaaaabut I think the full show takes place a whole year after the pilot (NO THIS IS NOT A SPOILER) and why I think that is because in the trailer Vaggie says “ok we have 24 hours until the next extermination” and the extermination is yearly but we also see Adam mad at Charlie in the trailer looking like he’ll punch her so maybe they rushed the extermination because Charlie got under Adam’s skin

Very heretical but nice animation, I mean the show is about hell so of course. But perhaps this an alternative universe or the orgin story was made up by Satan to make it seem like he’s the good guy. I see that it’s taking an Agnostic approach with religion since God isn’t ever specifically mentioned and instead the angels are treated like the lesser Gods.
I'd like to think that most of the things Charlie said here were false and this is just what Her dad told her to make himself sound better, i think that would make for a great plot twist
I actually think it would be a better plot twist if everyone was lying. Or everyone in the upper echelons of the two armies anyway. That makes Charlie the idealist who sets things right.
Of course it may not get that far, especially if this is a comedy and not an action drama.
Yeah, also, this may sound hard to believe but, biblically speaking I think the reason why the tree of knowledge was in God's garden to begin with was because he did plan on having Adam and Eve eat the apple once they were mature enough to handle the truth of the world and when the time would come for them, not when they were just created, because they basically had the mentality of a newborn, so God would want them to enjoy their innocence in the meantime. It's basically like the process of growing up and you slowly start to learn about the world you live in, also IF God really didn't want the tree to be in his garden, why wouldn't he have gotten rid of it?
Yeah it may not be outright stated in the Bible, but wouldn't the knowledge of good and evil be a good thing? If you think that God intended all along for Man to eat the apple, then the Devil could be seen as interfering and pushing for it to happen sooner or in a way that wasn't intended. That would mean that God might also have intended for Adam and Eve to have eaten from the Tree of Life, but when they defied Him He deemed them not ready and forced them to leave without it.
The God of the Old Testament seems to love tests. And this is supposed to be a story of how evil came into the world and why a loving God allows such things. In Hazbin Hotel it is changed so that Lucifer and not Satan tempted Eve with the apple (they are different characters in Hazbin Hotel) but this fits Lucifer's theme of rebellion and pride. So the story is the same, just told from Lucifer's point of view.
There are also shades of Prometheus here. It's a universal story.

Obviously if you pay attention to the Bible or if you want take on everything she said something about that story just doesn’t add up. Her character and personality even explains her naïveté.

So I assume the big twist of this season is going be Charlie realizing this story is false and actual story follows more closely to the biblical account or paradise lost where Lucifer grow envies and jealous of god and rebels against him eventually getting defeated and getting cast down and rest is history
In reality Lucifer rebelled against God since he was very proud, he did not accept that humanity was the best creation of God above him, that is why he convinced 1/3 of the angels to attack God saying that he is corrupt and he only wanted them as slaves, that is why Lucifer represents the deadly sin of pride.

Sir, in addition to this animation being made for an adult audience, it is a collection of several mythologies inspired by not only the Judeo-Christian one. And the series at no point glorifies demons and their actions, in addition to addressing delicate and serious themes... if you didn't like the series, just ignore it and watch something else lol

I love this take on Lucifer and Lilith's background! That they just wanted to share Independence with humans but it had the unforeseen effect of also introducing sin to Earth is a really interesting spin on the mythos!
And those four specific Angel silhouettes in the beginning, I sense future seasons material of exploration there!

My theory is that Lucifer and Lilith wrote that book to hopefully have Charlie on “their” side, but the truth was that Lucifer came for gods throne and thought Lucifer was better then god and he inhabited sin into the world.
Putting sin on the earth was Lucifer’s way of giving the middle finger to god and his brother Jesus. But some say that it was intentional that god knew it would happen and let it happen instead of stopping it.

They take a spiritual form and are immaterial, so they would not have a "figure" like how we would imagine. This is simply taking from the trend of "biblically accurate angels hahahahaha!1!1!!"
