    I almost got 100 percent but you deffo stiffed me on the last one I noticed no sticker, but I'm calling spillage on the case and no controls. 😂. I. D.

    The final picture looks like it has soot marks on the casing. Surely makes it ID?

    Hi Derek, great vids as always! regards the final example (the water heater). Should we not also be concerned about the positioning of the plug in relation to the hot gases exiting the flue and the control knob is missing - wasn't that I.D.?

    Love these quizzes, humed and ha on q 2 . Q 3 I went for AR. Keep them coming. Unsafe Situations, even with IGEM11 can be confusing/ mis diagnosed.

    Really enjoy your videos Derek. We’ve disagreed in the past and I got a long way through this one thinking I might agree with your every assessment.
    There are two I might, possibly quibble with. Overall we’re on the same page though. Top work mate.

    Very enjoyable , the cooker knob thing is a bit grey, maybe remove another knob , purge and relight , observe flame picture etc
    Albeit the hob shown would be a candidate for the above lol

  • @mcDarkD
    @mcDarkD 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    6.46 not to right dimensions from back wall too, min 50mm(cant see the rest) and if someone did replace that cooker knob someones been there with a souring pad. guessing game.
    love your uplaods.
    8.30 i have one of them close to me. but its a glowworm or vaillant. i have thought about dropping off an old flue from a taken out boiler so they can maybe get it righ "next time". selfish i know. i just dont want gas safe inspector assuming i did that work.
    if i got all your questions right what do i win!!! i guess i failed though...................i never riddored anything.

    Number 9 would only be AR if it was not sealed internally and the flue was insecure . If it's just not cemented externally and no products entering then only NCS . Also the meter box one , most boxes of that type have the service and installation pipe work passing through that outer edge of the box but at the bottom, so how is it AR when it's at the top? . Are you suggesting there is a pathway for gas to enter the building when it passes through the top but not if it passes through the bottom as normal? This would be AR if it passes through the back of the box and not sealed allowing gas to potentially pass into the property .keep up the good work with these videos ,great resource for trainee's .

    • @tomkatgastraining
      @tomkatgastraining  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Number 9 is AR as the flue is not sealed and products of combustion could enter the cavity and the meter box one is AR as the integrity of the box is broken so it’s classed as like the door is missing.

      If it’s ID and riddor you will still need to report the riddor even if you fix it and what if you ID an NCS

    As a non RGI - What's ID? I understand RIDDOR. (I got several right).
    Is it Immediately Disconnect ?

  • @trevcam6892

    I'm no gas engineer but in the thumb nail picture it seems to me that on the flue there should be a grommet to cover the hole to prevent CO ingress. I just took a gander at my boiler and there's no hole there at all. My service engineer puts the gas probe in the sampling port above when serving my boiler.

    Can't go with no.10! You can't ID and RIDDOR work that hasn't even been carried out. And what idiot would install it then RIDDOR their own work?

    • @tomkatgastraining
      @tomkatgastraining  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don’t get you number 10 is the boiler that a builder has removed the walls around the boiler and is holding it up with wood and then has used a bit of rainwater pipe as a flue extensions. So you find the boiler the way of the picture so how’s that not ID and riddor

      Yes I do now mate. Sorry.Totally got the wrong end stick. Sorry to hear your not doing the quizzes for now. Can't stress the importance of engineers understand IGEM G11 enough. Hope they pay more attention than I obviously did when I'm teaching them🙄
