I went on a cruise with Richard in 1999 and I can verify he is as nice in person as you see on television! He spent as much time needed with each person. I loved spending one on one time with him! A truly kind soul! RIP. I lost weight doing these videos and walking! In 3 months I had lost so much my fellow teachers didn’t recognize me when school started back! It worked!
Richard put so much into his videos, with a real band, singers, a choir and great choreography. Bless him for really caring. I lost about sixty pounds doing this every day and eating according to his little gray plastic thing with tabs for counting servings of certain food groups.
That is so funny! Richard's mother in the police car tapping! He is so neat and also funny. That was a fun intro and cute way to discourage people from duplicating tapes. I had forgotten about such a thing back then. Like those FBI warnings. How cute!
He is mostly private now that he is retired. But he does still post very positive and encouraging messages on his facebook page for his fans and is still very much the wonderful man hes always been.
I am sure there is a wonderful happy place for such a special person, where he can be and do anything he wishes. A very beautiful and loving gentleman such as Richard Simmons will always be thought of with love.
