    For over two years, I have been without A/C because I was quoted at a $2,000 fix at a mechanics shop. After following these clear simple instructions in your video, I tried the AC relay switch and now I have A/C!! For less than $25 bucks! Thank you more than words!

I put my horn relay in AC spot and my AC was working fine, however, my friend told me to shake the malfunctioning AC relay and gently hit on the floor/wall 3,4 times and then put it back on AC socket...hell yaaaaaaaaaaaaa mine worked and I didn't even have to spend a single penny. thanks man and God bless you all. The "relay test" worked for me fixing my daughter's 2003 Corolla. AC clutch would not engage, and I was perplexed on what was the problem. I was about to pull the compressor out tomorrow to check to loose wires, etc. You saved the day. I'm sure if my daughter had taken her car to a shop or Toyota dealership, they would have told her she had a bad compressor due to the age of the vehicle, and charged her $500 to $600 to replace it, then when it still didn't work, they would do a little troubleshooting and find out it was just a bad relay! Thanks for the clear and simple step-by-step diagnostic video. Keep up the good work!

    Great Tips right there! These A/C Systems on economical cars are so simple that there are only a few basic things that can go wrong. You have provided a great easy check for anyone to do. Even me, owning many cars and I work on all of them found this useful. It helps to get a simple, specific tip that worked. My Relay just needed to be wiggled to clean off the connection after years of use.

    In 2001 the inside fuses are behind the left side storage compartment. It's a small compartment. After it opens all the way just pull a bit and it will snap out, and presto, lots of fuses right before your eyes.

    • @GEARMOAUTO
      @GEARMOAUTO  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya its just a simple loop wire. In fact i usually just use a conductive paper clip. Anything really can work thats a conductor. Just dont have it plugged into the connector and let it touch anything eles cause it can short and pop your A/C fuse.

    My mother owns a 2004 Corolla. She recently told me her A/C stopped working in the car. After doing both of your tests (relay swap and jumped the freon monitor switch), I noticed that she accidentally must have hit the push button A/C switch on the dash board, which disengages the compressor for fan only. Problem solved. LOL!!!!

      blawsonbl sounds like your ac compressor is out of life. I found some cheap ones online for under 150 dollars. I'd replace it yourself so you can save a few hundred bucks, but if you're not mechanically inclined or don't have any tools, you should take it to a shop or have a mobile mechanic do it.
