You know, looking back on all these mods, there seems to be a big contrast between them and the mods we have today. Everyone was trying to make the hardest mod back then. They (likely) thought that extreme difficulty means quality gameplay. Thank god we don't do that anymore. At least today, we tend to value quality and mechanical goodness over spam charts and unfair songs. But even then, it's still pretty funny and nice to look back on the older era of FNF mods.
We got out of the "go, spammy hard-as-f song!" very recently though, dunno how that trend lasted so long, when it's that unfair and boring, especially when you want to introduce friends to the game.

Still, late 2022 saw many Triple Trouble remixes that were quite spammy (even more than the actual Triple Trouble), I'd say it lasted until early 2023, but yeah, I have no proof of it.

I have a friend that FC ballistic last year. I was there to witness it and it was impressive. I personally kind of suck at fnf so it was a sight to behold.
