Funny, I experienced something similar with Zhongli, but I did get him. He was just short, had light periwinkle color hair, talismans on his head, and used cryo. And he was actually a girl. Really weird... Sadly the glitch prevents me from using his shield as well.
Weirdest (and cutest) glitch I've experienced in coop is when I am using Diona and Keqing. I opened a leyline with my friend and I casted Diona's E for shield. When I switched to Keqing, her model shrunk and for a good 30 secs, we both see (he chatted that he saw it too) Keqing having Diona's model. That was both weird and cute ngl lol.
This looks so cool, I wish Mihoyo got inspired by this and created a character about this. Imagine an electro who turns into a shadow and just casually beats the shit out of people with their ultimate. They would move fast, look elegant, and require fewer assets meaning the devs can focus on the atmosphere of the ultimate. This could be an actual thing actually, but with the secret eighth element. (Sorry if I talked nonsense I just get excited real quick lol)

Probably make the sprint just like Mona and ayaka except electro, and more shadowy. Also make the elemental skill a combination of diluc's and Rosaria's basically having stages like diluc's skill and also making it so the character dashes really really fast. They could also make the character slow down enemies that are hit, while increasing the character's atk speed and movement speed, as if they are sucking the enemy's power/speed to increase their own speed.
But i think this could also fit a geo character, making them go underground, like a land shark, before Ambushing them. But honestly, Mona's and Ayaka's sprint is already like this, they go low and conceal themselves with their element then pop out from underground. If they want to make it unique, make this character undetectable while underground.

I can just guess they made the models and dropped them as fast as possible and got to coding the movement and other things like how it affects environment and gravity and skill etc.

While it'll be cool for a genshin creepypasta, I think it has something to do with your gpu running out of memory. Because if we look at it at a technical standpoint, the characters didn't turn black, they just lost their assigned textures. Source: i do some 3d modelling from time to time
The weirdest glitch I’ve ever experienced was when I was in the co-op menu, and I clicked some random person’s character menu because they had it open. Since the power in my house had just gone out, the internet was gone, so when the menu loaded, the entire list of characters all became amber. It was lowkey scary.

Glitches I've experienced: - my Venti's fully-charged arrow stayed stuck to his hand (only on my sister's screen though, we were on co-op) the entire time until I swapped him out. yes, even when I used his skill; it lagged behind him as he went up into the air. it would also stab right through his palm when doing that one wind idle animation. - invincible Ruin Hunter in co-op. literally, arrows just went right through it. - purposely glitching with Sayu to roll away from the pause menu and bring Paimon with me. - using the kamera gadget to take a photo right before it transitioned into a cutscene, causing it to have no animations whatsoever aside from blinking and very basic movements. needless to say, it was hilarious to watch Paimon and Lumine turning to blankly stare at each other.

The weirdest glitch I’ve had (I play PS4) was when I switched from Kazuha to Benny to Razor really fast in abyss, and Benny’s face was really close, and it just flashed for a second like he was possessed with red eyes and a weird smile. My Baal is only lvl 60 and I use her with my team like she lvl 80-90 too. She enhances their dmg rlly well even lvls behind I've never used her like this person though as a main like that that's pretty crazy
I had this glitch where my Beidou's claymore kept glowing a bright purple with particles and it was the coolest thing ever, it disappeared after I used her skill again and now it only exists in my memory
This one's a bit out of context but I remember one time entered my world. I was badly in need of help that time so whoever sends an invite, I let them in. I was talking to the player, saying "hi' and all that stuff. They didn't even bothered replying and immediately made their way somewhere else in my map. I thought they just want to heal on my statue first since they did came in my world on life support. I waited for them to finish but they were taking so long I had to check where they are that time. I saw them just standing near the Luhua Pool domain. I was confused so I decided to come where they are. As soon as I arrived, I immediately went looking for them and what do you know? They were fishing, without my consent, or without even asking. Idk about you guys but for me, that's so rude. You can get ANYTHING you want in my world as long as I don't need it but before that.. You have to at least ask for my consent first and TRY to reply to my message. You were ignoring me and had the audacity to fish in my world? Not on my watch. I immediately made my way towards them so they can see on their screen that I have arrived. While they were struggling to fish out what they caught, I quickly kicked them out of my world. Lol, if I don't have fish then you can't have one either. Good grief. Have some manners at least.

mine was xinyan being yeeted into the wall during release of 2.0 💀 had to do the cleansing ritual when i *coincidentally* no-clipped into the wall. that point i was walking on air 😭
back in the golden apple archipelago me and my friend were fighting monsters and my friend glitched her barbara on my screen where there was this hydro glowing ball on her, guessing it was her fall attack thing but it was actually pretty cool. whenever she switched characters the ball would stay right where she switched and come back when she went back to barbara.

This happend to me but i almost lost my account because of it… I was planning on farming ascension and books for upgrades, when *he* joined… He “said can i fish here?” I said ye since i was known to be kind to lower players since i help them 20 mins later… I was almost done of my daily routine My game glitched.. My yoimiya was speaking Chinese even tho i put japanese i was like “what” Then my characters were disappearing I was starting to get paranoid Luckily my screen was still moving the enemies i was fighting were disappearing the guy who entered my world was getting creepy… He kept teleporting constantly the once that i hadn’t unlock he was teleporting it then it switched to my lumine even tho she wasn’t in my party… I was struggling to fight back my account was getting stolen…. The guy was saying “GIVE ME YOUR ACCOUNT!!!” My account wasn’t lasting good thing i putted an extra protection for genshin and my other accounts of my games 5 mins later he was still trying to get my account the corruption wasn’t complete he was on caps saying “STRUGGLE IS FUTILE GIVE ME IT!” Luckily i had enough time to kick him… After that i didn’t joined other servers for 3 months i was traumatized But now i’m back to co-op and i’m still helping people :) Don’t trust anyone on genshin! Keep your account safe no matter what!
The weirdest glitch in my game was when I was fighting against a weekly boss or an open world boss. The game stopped in a frame and the music with the sound effects glitched too, producing a loud and annoying sound that lasted for a entire minute, it yeeted the texture pack as well. I was alone in home with my pet that day, that was scary. Minutes after that, my game crashed too, with a .exe failure window. The launcher took a long time to reopen.
Mine was when I was playing around with Qiqi then my game crashed and then Qiqi was not there, like it was just the starter characters and I was so scared I made sure I was still in the American server
Ok so this happened to me yesterday: I was chilling in my world when suddenly a player with the name "ItsTheEnd" and the male traveler pfp asked to join my world while i was doing my commisions. Since im ar55 and most of the time sitting afk in my world some where i let them in. Sounds normal right? Oh boy i was wrong. Bc as soon as they joined i saw that they were ar2... i was kinda shook so i typed "Hi! Arent you a to low ar to go into coop?" they didnt reply. Once again i ask "How did you get into my World!? Im a too ar for u to join." again no answer. I got a little creeped out so i just kicked them... atleast i tryed... bc as soon as i hit the "kick player" button my glitched in the chat and i saw that they acctualy responded this time. "ItsTheEnd. ItsMineNow." they said in the chat. Not even 10seconds went by and a notification pops up on my screen saying "account launched from another device" at this point i was panicking so hard that i almost passed out. Ofc i changed my password into some random numbers and letters and tryed to log back in.. without succses. I then started panicking even more and started crying. After falling assleep from all the crying and wakeing up just 1 hour and 36 mins later i tryed logging in my account again and thia time it workd! I saw that i stood there were i logged out and that everythinh was normal... exept my name and desc. My name was changed to "ItsNotOver" and in my desc was written "YouWontEscape" i ofc quickly changed them back to "Katsuki" and "Buff team go Brrrr" after that i logged of again and put my pass as something i probally wont even remember. (Sorry for this long comment😅)

And when i switched to other characters it was there. another glitch was when idk what i did but everything was frozen the graphics just turned nope. I once got a glitch that allowed me to have 2 of my own characters on the field at the same time which kept happening each time i switched back and forth between them, and it wasn't just a visual illusion, my Aether kept on losing HP each time he got hit and there i was on the other side of the screen, hopping up and down with Xiao. the weirdest part was when i went and did it in front of a bench and 2 commands appeared at the same time. I basically made them sit beside each other. It was cool cause i was controlling the 2 of them simultaneously.

If you think this is creepy, wait till you see the internal model of the character's faces when you zoom in too close while they are sitting. Its been a while since i saw that glitch. It works best with the small characters like klee etc
This has happened to me while I was solving a puzzle with a "star" in the center of the room... You know that type of star, I turned black and opened the map, some places were completely black. After that the game crashed. I felt a little bit scared actually
The most annoying glitch I have experienced was today when I wasn't able to change my party. It turns out to be quite a easy glitch to fix just log out and log back in to fix.
They actually had once a long time ago an update note to first check if log out and in doesn't fix it, before contacting the custom service. So that's my go to approach when something is weird. never failed me, haha
I actually encountered a scary glitch which I'm sure many people have encountered, that kiddo infront of the billboard infront of the dango milk selling man in inazuma city, had his hands like slenderman, long and they were glitching continuesly, it also happened with the girl who stands at the pool type thingy in middle of chihu rock, her hands glitching and it was so scary xD

My weirdest glitch? the inside of Dragonspire Mountain had most of its platforms missing. Only a few rocks as potential platforms floating about as well as several grass patches meaning reaching the higher areas was more challenging.

I was just ascending and building my chrctrs and stuff, but when I came back, all the enemies had this kind of pattern. It looked like some sort of glaze lily color, and whenever I would use my elemental burst or skill, I would also have this glaze lily pattern in my character. I asked the player who joined my world what was happening and they didn't reply and just left after a minute. But luckily, it refreshed.

I have had glitch where npc's bodies have been distorted out of propotion. Mangeled necks, overly long arms and twiching torsoes. Kinda creepy. Restarting the game solved it.
Had this happen one time in the menu screen as I was cycle through my characters. Basically Noelle's character model loaded in funny when I changed from Sucrose's talent menu into Noelle's resulting in her model displaying as completely white with yellow eyes, like an albino snake. Out of the menu, changing characters to a from Noelle didn't fix the issue but interestingly enough loaded her face texture as black depending on the camera angle and lighting sources. This glitch was active for the rest of that session and remedied itself after logging out and back in.
My weirdest is teleporting to a waypoint and my character ends up partly in the ground (fully for Sayu). Followed by teleporting to that Statue of the Seven high in the air near Jueyun Karst making my character fall to their death and play their death quote during the loading screen.

Once my Lumine was completely invisible and remained so even when I swapped with my other characters. Can't remember how I managed to turn her back to visible. Appart from that is not a weird glitch but an annoying one; when I jump as Xiao ulting and a stalactites falls on him, he gets ragdolled to the air very high and I have no way to take back control on him before he lands and freaking dies every time it happens. I uploaded a video about this on my channel if you want to see what I'm talking about.
I think we can all agree that this is the thing we need to be more careful of than complain about anniversary rewards. ( btw to answer the weirdest glitch question at the end. The weirdest one I encountered was falling through the platform when teleporting to one of the statues of the 7 to go and heal. But then I got a text so I went and texted them back while I healed but then I switched back to the game and I found my Diluc dead while everyone else was healed. )

The weirdest glitch I’ve had (I play PS4) was when I switched from Kazuha to Benny to Razor really fast in abyss, and Benny’s face was really close, and it just flashed for a second like he was possessed with red eyes and a weird smile. And then it was normal afterward I switched back to Benny from Razor lmao but it was the weirdest shit ever

That kinda happened to me while coop. My Raiden and Qiqi had a wide eyed look while they are releasing their burst. That scared the heck out of me.

My Baal is only lvl 60 and I use her with my team like she lvl 80-90 too. She enhances their dmg rlly well even lvls behind I've never used her like this person though as a main like that that's pretty crazy

This one's a bit out of context but I remember one time entered my world. I was badly in need of help that time so whoever sends an invite, I let them in. I was talking to the player, saying "hi' and all that stuff. They didn't even bothered replying and immediately made their way somewhere else in my map. I thought they just want to heal on my statue first since they did came in my world on life support. I waited for them to finish but they were taking so long I had to check where they are that time. I saw them just standing near the Luhua Pool domain. I was confused so I decided to come where they are.
As soon as I arrived, I immediately went looking for them and what do you know? They were fishing, without my consent, or without even asking. Idk about you guys but for me, that's so rude. You can get ANYTHING you want in my world as long as I don't need it but before that.. You have to at least ask for my consent first and TRY to reply to my message.
You were ignoring me and had the audacity to fish in my world? Not on my watch. I immediately made my way towards them so they can see on their screen that I have arrived. While they were struggling to fish out what they caught, I quickly kicked them out of my world. Lol, if I don't have fish then you can't have one either.

The weirdest glitch I ever experienced in Genshin was when I was stuck in midair while gliding, but the character (Sucrose at that time) was in the climbing position all of a sudden, basically I was climbing thru air 💀✨

back in the golden apple archipelago me and my friend were fighting monsters and my friend glitched her barbara on my screen where there was this hydro glowing ball on her, guessing it was her fall attack thing but it was actually pretty cool. whenever she switched characters the ball would stay right where she switched and come back when she went back to barbara.
The weirdest glitch ive experienced is ice being invisible, like when I freeze water to get across let's say Starfell lake, the ice is just invisible, I can see it. it's like the characters became Jesus.

Luckily i had enough time to kick him…
After that i didn’t joined other servers for 3 months i was traumatized
But now i’m back to co-op and i’m still helping people :)

The weirdest glitch in my game was when I was fighting against a weekly boss or an open world boss.
The game stopped in a frame and the music with the sound effects glitched too, producing a loud and annoying sound that lasted for a entire minute, it yeeted the texture pack as well. I was alone in home with my pet that day, that was scary.
Minutes after that, my game crashed too, with a .exe failure window. The launcher took a long time to reopen.
Mine was when I was playing around with Qiqi then my game crashed and then Qiqi was not there, like it was just the starter characters and I was so scared I made sure I was still in the American server

Ok so this happened to me yesterday:
I was chilling in my world when suddenly a player with the name "ItsTheEnd" and the male traveler pfp asked to join my world while i was doing my commisions. Since im ar55 and most of the time sitting afk in my world some where i let them in. Sounds normal right? Oh boy i was wrong. Bc as soon as they joined i saw that they were ar2... i was kinda shook so i typed "Hi! Arent you a to low ar to go into coop?" they didnt reply. Once again i ask "How did you get into my World!? Im a too ar for u to join." again no answer. I got a little creeped out so i just kicked them... atleast i tryed... bc as soon as i hit the "kick player" button my glitched in the chat and i saw that they acctualy responded this time. "ItsTheEnd. ItsMineNow." they said in the chat. Not even 10seconds went by and a notification pops up on my screen saying "account launched from another device" at this point i was panicking so hard that i almost passed out. Ofc i changed my password into some random numbers and letters and tryed to log back in.. without succses. I then started panicking even more and started crying. After falling assleep from all the crying and wakeing up just 1 hour and 36 mins later i tryed logging in my account again and thia time it workd! I saw that i stood there were i logged out and that everythinh was normal... exept my name and desc. My name was changed to "ItsNotOver" and in my desc was written "YouWontEscape" i ofc quickly changed them back to "Katsuki" and "Buff team go Brrrr" after that i logged of again and put my pass as something i probally wont even remember.

The weirdest thing thats ever happend to me in genshin is i was playing with my fi3nd ive known for 5 years and he was searching for chests and geo/anemoculus for me while i was just fighting some hilichurls and unlocking waypoints. He said he found a group of 3 anemoculus so i went to go teleport to him but he wasnt on the map.... i asked where he was and he told me where and i went there but he wasnt there. I said i coudlnt see him and he said he was right infront of me. It was so weird...
coolest glitch i had (i'm a xiao main) is when i accidentally tapped on xiao's burst when I meant to switch to bennett, but somehow his burst didn't spend but he still had his mask on!! it was very nice tho, xiao looks cool with his mask

i dont think That was due to people fishing in your world. It's probably a visual glitch due to how poorly the game is optimized for PS.
Just, I play on ps4, and pc I've never experienced a bug this weird, so it's not the fault of the console, but more of the people who optimized the game

The first glitch I had is that when I jumped, I would spawn those things that let you glide up. It was weird, but useful.
The glitches i experience was when i went in my character list and venti did his idle animation. He still had his lyre on the side of his like body. And when i switched to other characters it was there.
another glitch was when idk what i did but everything was frozen the graphics just turned nope. And like all the mobile buttons were replaced with the cryo symbol

I once got a glitch that allowed me to have 2 of my own characters on the field at the same time which kept happening each time i switched back and forth between them, and it wasn't just a visual illusion, my Aether kept on losing HP each time he got hit and there i was on the other side of the screen, hopping up and down with Xiao. the weirdest part was when i went and did it in front of a bench and 2 commands appeared at the same time. I basically made them sit beside each other. It was cool cause i was controlling the 2 of them simultaneously.
The strangest I've experienced was in my friends world. I was climbing on a rock, then fell underneath the map. I was even able to climb under there.

Not much time ago, during the Three Realms Gateway Offering, my boyfriend went to replenish the Bokuso Box and his Raiden touched the statue with both the hands, it was like she was really praying the statue to fill the box!

If you think this is creepy, wait till you see the internal model of the character's faces when you zoom in too close while they are sitting. Its been a while since i saw that glitch. It works best with the small characters like klee etc

The most annoying glitch I have experienced was today when I wasn't able to change my party.
It turns out to be quite a easy glitch to fix just log out and log back in to fix.
They actually had once a long time ago an update note to first check if log out and in doesn't fix it, before contacting the custom service. So that's my go to approach when something is weird. never failed me, haha
I actually encountered a scary glitch which I'm sure many people have encountered, that kiddo infront of the billboard infront of the dango milk selling man in inazuma city, had his hands like slenderman, long and they were glitching continuesly, it also happened with the girl who stands at the pool type thingy in middle of chihu rock, her hands glitching and it was so scary xD

My weirdest glitch? the inside of Dragonspire Mountain had most of its platforms missing. Only a few rocks as potential platforms floating about as well as several grass patches meaning reaching the higher areas was more challenging.

the weirdest glitch i encountered in genshin was something similar to yours.. I allowed someone in my world because they said they needed ores. I was just ascending and building my chrctrs and stuff, but when I came back, all the enemies had this kind of pattern. It looked like some sort of glaze lily color, and whenever I would use my elemental burst or skill, I would also have this glaze lily pattern in my character. I asked the player who joined my world what was happening and they didn't reply and just left after a minute. But luckily, it refreshed.

How the hell is a level 59 raiden shogun doing more than a 1000 damage when I can only do 300
Had this happen one time in the menu screen as I was cycle through my characters. Basically Noelle's character model loaded in funny when I changed from Sucrose's talent menu into Noelle's resulting in her model displaying as completely white with yellow eyes, like an albino snake.
Out of the menu, changing characters to a from Noelle didn't fix the issue but interestingly enough loaded her face texture as black depending on the camera angle and lighting sources. This glitch was active for the rest of that session and remedied itself after logging out and back in.
My weirdest is teleporting to a waypoint and my character ends up partly in the ground (fully for Sayu). Followed by teleporting to that Statue of the Seven high in the air near Jueyun Karst making my character fall to their death and play their death quote during the loading screen.
I remember there's a moment that my Klee's eyes went dark when unleashing Elemental Burst, kinda creepy for me and I was like what happened to you😂

Once my Lumine was completely invisible and remained so even when I swapped with my other characters. Can't remember how I managed to turn her back to visible.
Appart from that is not a weird glitch but an annoying one; when I jump as Xiao ulting and a stalactites falls on him, he gets ragdolled to the air very high and I have no way to take back control on him before he lands and freaking dies every time it happens. I uploaded a video about this on my channel if you want to see what I'm talking about.

as a ps4 player, the actual reason why i will never let anyone fish in my world anymore is another. for context, when a teammate changes character, i get a little freeze for some seconds. while fishing, you constantly switch to traveler. so every time someone fishes and gets traveler my game freezes
