"At least when you look to the stars they still glow... girl not for me though. My head is empty even when we are toe to toe" ..... Krule writes great lyrics
Krule really is a musical genious... His guitar compositions are just astounding... And his poetical genious and soothing voice. The feeling with which he sings them... Everything about him is just mind blowing. What an artist.
Out Getting Ribs encapsulates heartbreak. It’s anger it’s hatred it’s loss . But also it’s yearning. And feelings of great reciprocity. It’s beauty. & gratitude for being able experience such intimacy & love. But now ultimately gone. Just memories. Such a classic set by a phenomenal artist. Continues to Inspire many. Long live the King, thank you for everything
@@product_of_august I can play it fine, but it is definitely hard to play perfect over time since your fingers are moving to completely different chord shapes each time. You can hear him struggle to play it super cleanly here too. He sampled himself playing, you can hear the repetition of the guitar pick consistently each time on the recording
Se girl you'll never know, at least when you look to the stars they still glow. Well not for me thoug. Body and head are empty even when we're toe to toe. Girl, I suppose I'll forever be the only one who knows. Aspirations ingrown, I'll forever be alone. Goddamn, those are Half Man Half Shark lyrics.
i remember when i saw this video back in the days and i want to cry because all the things i lived last 5/6 years, fortunately i ´ve been able to saw a great performance from KK last year here in México.
Archie brings something 'new' to the world of sound, as in, a god majority of artists follow a lot of what other people have done. Krule is raw and unfelt by the world before Marshall's brilliant soliloquies.
the sincerity in his voice when he sings is so beautiful, i wanna talk to him about something he feels strongly about it'd be so great just to listen to him talk
The original song felt so liberating at the end- like he was completely showing his entire emotions after holding back for 90% of the song. In this one though, he sounds so tired, almost like this happened so many times to him. Both are amazing in my opinion
Archy is a magical boy mmannnn. Ive never been so into an artist like him before. Every time he preforms a song, he does it in a different style. I think thats one thing he does that makes me like him so much, he's not stale.Krule is the man. On a side note, do you think you guys could bring in Anthony Green / Circa Survive??
I can't think of anybody who plays guitar as fucking clean as this man, except maybe Mac. Sure there are plenty of technically better players but when it comes to everything else they're my fav
This is in 165th St in the Bronx. I used to live around here. There this really good chino spot to the right of the church. Walton Ave nearby, that block is hot.
This was the first song(s) i heard from King Krule. I heard a song on sound cloud which was a remix apparently. I googled part of the lyrics and I got this as first result in youtube. I still isten to this a lot. King Krule is my favorite artist ever, and there will never be someone better than him. Im going to his concert on march 5th 2020... Im so fucking happy.
I don't know if it's just me, but this version of A Lizard State is better imo, mostly because the lyrics fits with the mood. But still love the original too
I just don't know what to add... In 2022 he is still the thing for me, can I be so alone I don,t care. he is maybe "immortal". Just so right. Thanks to you tube!
Sooo like why did he not put that ending that's in Border Line in this video on his album? I loved that ending, but it's not on the album, but I'm still glad I found this video, because otherwise, I never would have heard it. @8:44
Saw King Krule live a few days ago and Out Getting Ribs happened to be the very last song he played. I didn't think that he could sound even better in person, but oh my goodness I will remember that moment for the rest of my life ❤
+Clay the album took a very very different approach than 6 feet though. And I'm kinda hooked into the raw sound of King Krule sound than his newer one.

when did he write that lol
anon ymous border line
damn its weird to see this comment knowing now these are the lines that end "Half Man Half Shark" on his new record.
Alex Minassian i️ felt it more on this version of boderline. half man half shark is more fun. this is more blue
Excellent

@@TheBlueDevilDuke I think the studio version of dum surfer is better
I love how he just starts talking after finishing out getting ribs like he didn't just completely lay bare his soul

This version of out getting ribs is burned into my memory as a teenager in 2013 it brings me back every time
8:45 - 9:26 is pure bliss...
my poor little heart wasn't ready for this.
It's very rare to see Archy playing Border Line
It’s pretty tough, I’m sure that he sampled the main riff so that it can repeat through the song. It’s hard to play that main riff cleanly every time
@@christopherruiz6467 nah i'm sure that he can play it, it's not that hard if u practise

out getting ribs is one of the greatest songs

Im so happy he exists
Waiting for the big outro in getting out ribs and then he hits you with that subtle exit. It stunned me, what an incredible song
Imagine being his kids and seeing this masterpiece man

this belongs in a museum
Dude has always been a vibe
I'm blown away, with only guitar and vocals!
You are a God among men. All respect. Gobsmacked.
Really dig the Harmony Korine film aesthetic, suits him!

I can't understand why he never plays Border Line, is such a beautiful song
It's a Difficult song
Quite difficult to play and ig the chorus doesn’t hit the same with just him playing
they should play it like the one in the album@@billysterndale3873
