One of the best videos of that part of the world i have ever seen! Shots, framing, post production, editing are simply stunning!! I LOVED the "falling asleep" act (or no act...i could definitely relate)!! Excellent work
hi friend.since a week reapply watching your film,a wanna say u thanks a lot. as all i also want to say you:you have truly inspired me.that june a am planing to ride Moskow-Antalya.if somebody wants to join, wellcome.
Trollstigen and Geiranger fjorden is a must. Atlanterhavs veien is short but cool. I'we done them all and are riding vestlandet this year too. I'we allways dreamt of doeing something like this, maybe towards italy, maybe in a few years.. Thanks 4 shearing..
I'm an Australian living in Canada randomly checking out your video and it's awesome! Thanks a lot for taking the time to chronicle your journey. I'd love to make a similar trip one day. Cheers buddy
Thank you so much, to share your adventure and so amazing places with us, the care to getting videos and photos really show how you were worried to make us understand how wonderful are the lands crossed during the trip. About the motorcycle, I ever keept in mind that sportive and naked were not appropriated to long trip, but after your video, I know that is possible to make it.
You are the best! Last year i did something similar on my Vespa, from Greece to Nordkapp through Russia and back through Denmark etc. Now i'm preparing a video of the trip and i suddenly fall on yours! You did just a great jop! Greatings from Greece and wish you the best!!!
Great video! There is very beautiful landscapes in north Norway :) I lived there for a few months:) Thanks for this video, I might do that myself someday!
@AlpineGuerrilla oh okay so you took a netbook. I'd like to buy a GoPro as well but couldnt think of any handy way to save the clips. Unfortanetly I cannot take a netbook with me seeing that my bike (also an SV650S, K3) is totally loaded with stuff like a tent, cooking supplies etc. etc.. Guess I still take too much stuff with me, haha. Props for your vids man, very inspiring. Makes me wanna go out and ride!
I know the feeling, though I'm just 26 and have been biking for around three years, got the full license around a years ago. The furthest I've ridden is from my home in Ipswich to Leicester and back. I'd love to do a trip across Europe one day though, especially around Norway and Scandinavia.
Awesome ride and nice video!! I've done 3000km trip on the SV but 2up. I can understand the part where you are "falling asleep" especially on long straight roads. :D But this baby goes through corners so nicely. I sometimes miss it because now I ride the big Bandit.
Thanks for putting that killer video together! Some amazing footage and roads. Hard to find stuff like that living on the Canadian prairies... lol Hoping to do a 7000km trip on my '02 650S next spring. Such a great bike. I have little doubt it can do it!
I did the same thing, but with a drift camera. Have the camera run from the bike battery. At the end of every riding day I copied the video to a netbook with external HD. In my 5 week trip I collected about 75 hours of video which was almost 500GByte. BTW nice video, makes me want to go again.
Some nice ride areas for sure. part of the map made it look like you rode in the water. lol SV's are good bikes for smooth payment, but some of the roads, not so smooth. The naked modle like I have is a little more comfy for the back, the seat gets hard to deal with after a while; even with this bike, not being the best long distance bike, seems like you made a lot of good memories with it, in spite of those shortcomings.. lol Good video & Take care. yl
Another awesome video - nice work! I'm newly inspired to try leaving my camera by the side of road like you do, hoping that (a) it doesn't get stolen and (b) I can find it again :)
I have a Suzuki DR 650, but havn't got my license yet. I willt ake it this spring and then work on the summer and I plan to go to Nordkapp after that in August. I'm 20 years old and I figured I might asweell do it now when I have only myself to think about... That might change in the future, I have nothing holding me back really. except money. But if I stay in tent the whole trip there will only be preparations and gas and food and I think I will be able to do it. I live in Southwest Sweden and plan to go up straight to Norway and then go to Geiranger and at the Norwegian westcoast all the way up and then either down to Finland and take a ferry over to Stockholm and back or just straight down in Sweden after Nordkapp. I have a few friends in the far North both in Finland and in Sweden so maybe I can stay a night there to resupply if I need. Great video, thanks for the route tips!
Hi there, fantastic inspiring video. With scenery like that, it's enough to remind you that life is actually worth living. A mate of mine is off to the south of France on his GSX650F and he's only just passed his test. I passed my test in 1997 and thinking about it, I've never explored anywhere on a motorcycle and probably never will. Did you have any problems with the SV? How did you find the Norweigans? You've got courage to do a trip like that on your own.
Hi, I've just seen the video today, 11 years later. Beautifull views and landscapes. I wonder very much how it was regarding the sporty body position on an SV s model and what do you ride on nowadays? Regards
This season I'm planning to go around Baltic Sea on my VFR800, from Poznań (Poland) through Stockholm, Oslo, Nordkapp, Helsinki, Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius and back home - it'll be about 10k km :) On my last trip (you can see a presentation on my channel) I had only a nikon d90, now I'm going to buy a drift hd ghost - films are so much interesting for viewers:) Could you tell my how did you do a "finger on map" animation and what program do you use for edit videos?
Good vid bro even if i prefer Alpine Springtime :-) More 'action' and more my kind of muzik i guess. Lofoten looks like a nice place, i hope i will see it from my eyes :-) And congrats to ride in Russia, you' got balls!! Thanks, i'm waiting the next vid ;-)
Hi there, what Kawasaki do you have? I have a ZZR600 (E10) and would love to do a trip like this, and although I've been riding bikes now for 16 years, probably never will. In 16 years, the most extensive trip I've done is from Portsmouth to Liverpool on a GS500E and that was last year. So you could say I've never really exploited the potential joys of biking as all I do is stay confined in my home town and just ride to work and back.
That was fantastic and totally inspiring. I'm looking forward to an Epic Adventurous trip in 2012, and you have truly inspired me. How long did it take? How many miles/Km? How far did you go each day? What were the highlights? If you only had 1 week for a motorcycle adventure in that region where would you go? I'm from the US and ride a KLR 650 but plan to meet a friend in Suomi and to get a bike there for the ride. Thanks for your feedback! AWESOME FOOTAGE!
Very beautiful video, liked it a lot. How did you like Finnish roads with their 80 km/h limits? =) Slow but safe, however I would increase it to 100 km/h at many road sections, and it would still be safe. I noticed you did some offroad in Russia, any falls? And what about fatigue after 4 week riding? Yeah, Russian customs are pretty slow and in many cases they act pointless, at least they eased the procedure for leaving Russia to Finland for Russian citizens - no need to fill in declarations.
Great video! Really inspiring, since I'm gonna be doing something like this in August. Can I ask what tires u used? Do you need kind of allroadish-tires for this stuff (1:28)?
Hi there.Quality video! I'm planning a trip from Newcastle in the UK to Murmansk next summer on my kawasaki and your video has got me even more motivated. Can you tell me how long it took you to ride Helsinki to Murmansk and the quality of the road for a bike? What sort of speed were you able to ride? Especially M18 north from St Petersburg to Murmansk?
I love all of your videos man, Im jealous of you :) please can you tell me,how do you keep your camera working ALL the time.. I know GoPro can work for 2 hours max... so,what you have like 10 bateriees with you or what? :) thank you.
Hey I'm going to drive my Sv650 from Poland to Croatia on the oncoming summer. Tell me did you do any modifications to your SV before the trip? What was your flyby speed and how much fuel did you burn per 100 km +/-? I'd be pleased with your answer ! Great video ! :)
Do you have stock or aftermarket seat? My ass starts to hurt after just one hour of riding (I ride SV650S too), and a trip like this seems just impossible to me :-(
Thanks anyway :) I hope that my video will be at least as much interesting as yours (Red vs. Blue - it's amazing, music, landscapes, timelapses - everything is connected). Cheers!
Hello. What can you say about SV 650s in such a long trips? I own sv too and would love to travel, but i think it will be extremely uncomfortable in long trips (back pain etc.)
Well I think I can't do trip like this on my MZ ETZ 150 but... well, I can but I'll spend more time repairing my little girl instead of riding. :/ Damn.. I want to go back on the road, again..! :/
One of the best videos of that part of the world i have ever seen!

I LOVED the "falling asleep" act (or no act...i could definitely relate)!!
Excellent work
Es mega Video, gefällt mir massiv!
Super Ufnahme, dä Sound passt au.. Und landschaftlich en Traum! Beniede dich für die Reis und Erfahrige! :)
hi friend.since a week reapply watching your film,a wanna say u thanks a lot. as all i also want to say you:you have truly inspired me.that june a am planing to ride Moskow-Antalya.if somebody wants to join, wellcome.
Still one of the best videos I've seen. I watch it again and again!
That would be the trip of a lifetime for me-talk about being on top of the world. Amazing video!
Hele leuke video! Ik heb genoten. Leuk dat jij de reis met een sv650 doet in plaats van een standaard toer motor. Gr uit Nederland.
Very nice video! Thank you for sharing it!
Great driving, nice bike

Inspirational dude. I was worried about doing a 1000 mile tour around Scotland on a sv650s. After watching your vid, I've been put at ease. Nice
Great job!!!!!!! I understand that it is very difficult to make such film alone. With talent! +++++
Great video!
Thanks
I like it very much! Thanx for sharing

Just GREAT!
Great video!
I'm thinking of taking an SV650 around Europe (literally all around it), so it's nice to see someone doing long trips ob it!
great video, respect for doing it on your own!!!

Thanks for the vid from a fellow SV 650 S owner.

Phenomenal trip, respect !
Although you seem to be getting along with the sv just fine a v-strom might better suit you. Very cool video
GREAT!

поездка в одиночку!)) хвала путнику!))
awesome!
I loved your video! I try to get to nordkapp last year ... but I missed the train with the motorcycle xD, was a mishap that affected my budget.
Good vid bro even if i prefer Alpine Springtime :-)
More 'action' and more my kind of muzik i guess.
Lofoten looks like a nice place, i hope i will see it from my eyes :-)
And congrats to ride in Russia, you' got balls!!
Thanks, i'm waiting the next vid ;-)

awsome! did you have to change tiers any time?
Great video! Really inspiring, since I'm gonna be doing something like this in August. Can I ask what tires u used? Do you need kind of allroadish-tires for this stuff (1:28)?
@AlpineGuerrilla
Ah Nice! you should do more vidz like this one! how was the customs in russia? pain in the ass?
This is our next big adventure.

Janusz zapytaj Wojtasa o sv. Przejechał pół Europy swoja sv-ką. Jego kanał nazywa się voyski, a filmy "The wheels need to spin".
My hat off to you, sir. Btw, that's coming from a guy owning a blue SV650S first gen :D.
Hela norden 👋
Do you have stock or aftermarket seat? My ass starts to hurt after just one hour of riding (I ride SV650S too), and a trip like this seems just impossible to me :-(
Maybe in future :D
same problem mate i m thinking clip on risers as a solution but i cant find a video to see how the rider looks on the bike with them.
Just wondering, how many gigabytes of memory did you take with you for the GoPro? And how did you charge it?
Did you have any technical issues while on the road?
Question: have you installed a inner tube, inside your front and back wheel?

0:25 NICE :) ......

Hi, are you online ...
