we all put our MA goggles on when Tom skis. Good skiing is fun to watch. I can't help myself crawling under his skin imagining the sensations comparing to my own experiencing and learning how to get back in the drivers seat with each moment of oops.
Was there in 2017 and was blown away by the friendly people and how proud they are of this treasure of a mountain. Loved the terrain that sun peaks offers!!!
I spent 3 weeks there and loved Sun Peaks in 2020 just before covid hit. What a magnificent ski area it is to just let rip and arc turns .... its also so quiet compared to Europe where we normally ski but the biggest plus is the snow quality, its simply incredible. Can't wait to get back there. Love your content... keep up the great work.
Cool 😎 Any chance you can do some filming from the side. The internet is full of shots from the front, the back, and even overhead. I love watching your skiing, and I would like to see the movements from a different angle. Thanks 😊
Side views are only available one turn at a time. Frontal views show more transitional movement turn to turn. Side views only demonstrate that inspite of everything we try to do to get forward we are still mostly in the back seat.
I love that I can now put names to the runs I’ve seen in so many of your videos! I admit I’m partial to the more relaxed flow when you stand up a bit at transition, for example on Sundance. Are the more aggressive extension-retraction turns due to the steepness of the black diamond slopes?
This is not average skiing. Our school offers early turns for clinic groups before the lifts open for public. This gives us a chance to brush up our demos and get some serious wind in our faces before we have to avoid being taken out while teaching.
With skiing on both side of the valley on 2 mountains and 2 ridges you would be hard pressed to name a mountain in North America that spreads skiers out better than Sun Peaks and there are 4,270 acres to choose from. Look down a run, see no one else on it and then go as fast as you want. The snow quality and snow preservation at SP are world class. SP is not for powder hounds, it's for speed freaks. Top notch grooming as well.

Nice turns Tom, I love Sun Peaks

Fischer RC4 skis rock! Nice turns.

That’s right its due to the steepness. Its situational dependant and a necessary move
Tom are you still at sun peaks ?
Lovely
Thanks 🙏
What ski and radius did you use for this video?
Fischer rc4 CT 175cm 15.5m radius. My favorite ski I’ve ever owned
Thank you so much.@@Bigpictureskiing
Love your stuff, but seriously, how often does the average skier get to ski uncrowded slopes like this to work on their technique
Choose the right places and it’s every day you ski.
Ski during the week and you'll often have runs all to yourself. Hope to ski with you this season at MSA!
Never in Perisher Australia 😢
