I think this shows that Rapid Play is less suitable to serious chess, and ultimately less important. It is not that embarrassing for Hans because his Classical Rating is not affected.

He set up his own team? It's almost like established teams didn't want him, for some reason.

The crying from Magnus and Hikaru worked.

Hardly a game by a wannabe future world champion.

Completely agree. How can he, who aspires to be WC, bury his own light squared bishop like that and then miss a sacrifice of the black light squared bishop?

It is a game of a player currently rated over 2700. So this game is okay for that level or are you implying he got there by cheating?
Did it ever come to your mind, that a chess player has bad days and good days, especially him. He just turned 21, so he has plenty of time to stabilise. Of course it is unlikely he becomes world champion, but if he does not believe he could, he has zero chance.

Good thing Magnus never... oh, he just lost another match. Was it Magnus or Hikaru who lost twice to a young IM recently? Clearly they don't deserve their Elo, right?

I never implied he got there by cheating. I am just very skeptical of his chance of becoming WC with such poor play - even if at other times he performs brilliantly
