as a teen i loved this game..soo many details,you could interact with ANYTHING on the screen..the weapons are awesome and varied..power up sistem..much more fun than RE2 that copied and upgraded..i love RE2 too and i think it's a masterpiece on his own rigth..but i've replayed this game too many times..good variety of enemies..secret unlockables..gunblade from FFVIII and the satellite weapon..Too bad they don't make games like this no more
When I played this first time .. I thought those graphics in CGI demo were out of this world and most beautiful ones ..but still today when I watched it still the same as i thought before.
I remember playing this game as a little kid. My brother showed me it and omg did it give me nightmares but it's still a great game. I even bought it on the PS3 just to play it again
They gave Aya some thickness in this game. The first one made me question how she became a cop with such a thin body. Considering the academy has their cops jog and do obstacles all the time.
Everything fighting up to the boss was a nightmare. I found myself saving after every room I cleared except for the part where you are supposed to get to the top of the water tower which was insane. Rationing BP and experience was hell, but thank goodness for the bonus items making the whole game seem like less than playing on bounty hunter normal mode. People online suggest you always save road flares, but the only thing they do is clear out areas with deadly butterflies, bats, and rats. I found that to be a bunch of bs, but what was effective was pepper spray especially against worms, scorpions, and golems. Of course with the invisible golem, I found it simpler to just run in a huge "C" shape randomly except for the underground area below the shop which it is better to just pepper spray the bastard 3 times while running at you with his lazer line while using the 8 bullet gun with the extended 24 cartridge to make 32 bullets to do the job getting critical shots at close up. Also while using the barrier PE and the one that poisons enemies.
Mechanics/sponge of bosses Mp/bp/experience systems. Like it or not gamers are genuinely low IQ and want easy games look at the rise of mobile games and the dumbing down of RPGs over the years. The changes from daggerfall-to Skyrim alone are astounding.

Except for the giant bowman, everything was just beautiful. The stranger boss was perfect and you showcased the best way to deal with normal strangers as well. No.9 was also a perfect battle, it showcased everything one should be able to do. No.9 rematch went just as well. I also learned a better method to fight the Burner, more specifically I learned how to move in the fight and dodge his fire. Boss Chaser is always a tricky fight, getting hit as little as in the video is as well as it can go. Also taking note on the barrels. Didn't know you could get a crit on Glutton for an extra 3 shots, it's otherwise just as perfect. Just so others know, criticals on shoulders at the beginning of the first fight also spawn Mad Chasers (two per spawn up to 10) for extra BP, EXP and openings like shown in the second fight. Giant Diver, ditto, I also took note on the 'how to fight divers' showcase. As for the Puppet Stinger; running into the invisible force field around it deals no damage and Aya is invulnerable while standing up, I find it the best way to 'dodge' inferno as well as the dual and triple lasers, fireballs and the single laser can be dodged as well but they require a stricter timing. To bad you didn't show how to get all the pieces of the Ultimate Being (head and neck low/no damage strategies still escape me to this day). You did show how to start the battle off (the hardest part of the battle and I didn't know how to as well), how using fire instantly kill of the arms once the shoulders are down, how destroying a part interrupts the core's attack, that paralysis works on the core and the two safe spots from said core attack. For those that don't know, destroying all of this boss parts (head, neck, shoulders, arms, penis, butt, tails and tail holes) before killing it will net more stuff at the end of the fight. Finally Eve is the most technical fight in the game and you destroyed her. All that needs to be done save orbs dodging and spectral clones is showcased the video; the orbs need to be misdirected not just one but twice since they go to one's original location at launch then home in on to one's next location (easier said than done) and the spectral clones are spawned by eve one by one randomly through the fight, home in on your location to melee and have around 250 hp, don't get to close and fire away at them before focusing on Eve. Finally, killing up to 10 spectral clones (the max that can spawn) will net more EXP and BP. All in all great showing with little mistakes. PD: necrosis MVP.

Not really, No. 9 takes half damage from bullets and otherwise blocks every other type of damage if not attacked during an opening or from behind. Only pyrokinesis and the grenade pistol are viable by that point in the game, the later witch costs BP to use. Thus the only options are unloading all 500 9mm parabellum with a high damage-per-shot weapon like the P08 or learning to use Pyrokinesis/Grenades during openings. I admit I haven't tried shotgun ammo types though, I just don't like the PA3.
@D ʝả ħ That's a good point, since Eve can be paralyzed. Just parahax Eve until it is at 1/3 of its health or death depending on whether one is going for the clones or just the kill. Of note, paralyzing eve as she comes out of the bridge after charging will increase the time to unload on it while it's vulnerable.

@@Hassony523 yeah... no. They were in no way the best. They were necessary due to technical specifications of the psx, and they can certainly give you suspense... but only the first time around. Any time past that, you know exactly what's around the corner, you just have to wrestle with the tank controls to either avoid or hit it.

Any recommendations for other good horror RPGs? I just started playing and am still only on the first and love the story, setting, gameplay, and aesthetic of it. It might show to be one of my favorite games ever. Somewhat because of how it probably is an anomaly. The only other game I know of that's a horror RPG is Hybrid Heaven.

What emulator did you use? I own this game but am looking for one, also nice game play. I was able to beat it on all but nightmare mode. When I went back to original made, I was able to buy everything and level on at Akropolis tower lol but I ran bounty mode a lot and grinded like mad. I actually did a servay for sqarenix and and in my comment section I asked them to bring this franchise back

That final boss is one of the spongiest bosses that I've ever seen in the ps1 era of gaming... Bravo for killing her on Nightmare difficultly.

@@Hassony523 yeah... no. They were in no way the best. They were necessary due to technical specifications of the psx, and they can certainly give you suspense... but only the first time around. Any time past that, you know exactly what's around the corner, you just have to wrestle with the tank controls to either avoid or hit it.

Buen vid. En la pelea con la ANMC gigante, la que parece alien, si te acercabas a Eve te aturdia y caes al piso pero así evitaba daños cuando el monstruo hacia su gran impacto. Por lo demás fueron batallas impecables 😂

Any recommendations for other good horror RPGs? I just started playing and am still only on the first and love the story, setting, gameplay, and aesthetic of it. It might show to be one of my favorite games ever. Somewhat because of how it probably is an anomaly.
The only other game I know of that's a horror RPG is Hybrid Heaven.

What emulator did you use? I own this game but am looking for one, also nice game play. I was able to beat it on all but nightmare mode. When I went back to original made, I was able to buy everything and level on at Akropolis tower lol but I ran bounty mode a lot and grinded like mad. I actually did a servay for sqarenix and and in my comment section I asked them to bring this franchise back

As a child of 10 when I first played this, I beat the half of the game without the spells without even knowing what they were or how to use them.
