    Thanks for the instruction guide and the lights. They fit perfect! I give them a 10 out of 10 star rating!

    Just a heads-up, I'm pretty sure he left out the part where you have to clip the wires that you fed through the grommets back up into the wires that are up higher on the tailgate

    Also. When it comes to the t taps. If you don’t have them but have a crap ton of other connectors lying around… I used a butt connector. Took the wires cramped them down. Wrapped it with black tape and I was good to go.
    Also when wiring alongside your hatch with the other wires… to keep it snug and neat I took black tape and wrapped it around the existing wires to have everything flush.
    When it comes to the boot part. Like an existing comment with the wire. I used a wire hanger. I took a straight piece bent the end of it over as to not poke a hole thru the boot, took the end of the wire and wrapped it in blue painters tape around the wire real good. And snaked it through… tediously. I honestly found it a bit easier to stretch the boot as you snake it and then to roll down the opposing side. It is not easy but if you take your time and try not to get frustrated haha then you’re golden.
    Otherwise the whole process is fairly straightforward. It’s just having patience.

    The part where you send the wire through the rubber grommet to get to the hatch is so incredibly difficult. Took me a solid 30-45 minutes to do. Great end-result though.

    • @FireDramine7
      @FireDramine7 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      tip for next time: Maybe take a bendable steel wire or something and get it through and hook the wire to it. I was able to pull it through about 3/4 of the way and then easily pulled it out from the other side with some pushes. Took me maybe 10mins for both.

    • @EvanLott94
      @EvanLott94 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FireDramine7 Thanks, that's a great idea. I was mainly scared to put something sharp in there in case it went through the rubber or something

      @FireDramine7 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EvanLott94 I just took a piece bent it half way and the pushed the bent part through to not scratch the rubber. Once I did that I pulled the other half through and attached the end of it to the wire. It worked pretty well for me.

    • @EvanLott94

      Danny760side you have to splice the green wire into the wire powering the license plate light. It’s a black and white striped wire

    • @mattmartin598

      Sorry, just noticed the notifications.
      The lights look much better than stock. During the day the brake lights look pink and the sequential blinkers are pretty dim, but still visible.
      I think they would look better if the plastics covering the brake light LED's weren't white but red.
      Installation was very easy. Build quality is very good. I wish they were brighter for daytime driving. Would like it if the brake light didn't look pink during the day and I think it's awkward how far the plastic of the lens sticks out on the blinker area. I didn't notice it stuck out so much.
      Overall, I'm happy with the lights. If I wasn't going for a show car, I'd leave them. But I've already ordered a pair of valenti's non-smoked. I'm going to pop the lenses off and paint everything that's chrome black so it has the dark look with a clear lens.
