When it comes to Reddingtion speaking, a lot of people like to refer to his monologues and anecdotes. I admit that his speech about the farmer in "The Stewmaker" was what got me hooked to the series. But it's also the softer, emotional moments. The suicide scene in "Cape May", explaining Denbe's origins and how Red found him. The ones with deep, emotional weight. How is this man *not* nominated for Emmys for playing Red eludes logic and merit!
He told entirely the story to Siya because Siya is the same situation Elizabeth was and Reddington regrets not having told him the truth about his identity in person and does not want to make the same mistake with Siya
