Surprised you didn't mention camo-bloons, sure it makes sense stealth threats would be able to sneak by common monkeys, but the camo-bloons are straight up immune to even area attacks just because the causing monkey can't see them. Acid pools, plasma puddles, laser beams, crowd control, magic missile, explosions; all of it is worthless even in direct hits unless you get particular upgrades or build a radio tower nearby. The only exception is spike factories.
And then there's the dark dirigible titan, a pseudo-invisible armored blimp that travels at mach 1 . . .
