Loved the music of Morse and D'Virgilio for more than twenty years. I really would appreciate it if Morse didn't scat over the instrumental parts so often though.

I think this will be my first anticipated album for 2022. Nick's album Invisible was my favorite for 2020. I love the work Nick and Neal did in Spock's Beard. Neal doesn't disappoint. I'm very excited about this one.

I love everyone that Neal has ever sang with but nothing beats Morse/D'Virgillio. It's like they both make each other sing better. Great cut.
I honestly thought this was some reconfiguration of Crosby, Stills & Nash. 😄
This is GREAT! Shades of CSN harmonies with a nod to classic Yes melody structure but with a contemporary sensibility still. I hope this gets pressed to vinyl - it's going to be a perfect record for tuning the world out with a stiff drink after a rough day.

@@markburke3040 Roger Taylor's range is four octaves. I haven't found a listed range for Nick but it'd be surprised if it's really that wide.
Collin's range seems to be 3.3 octaves and I'd expect Gil Moore to be somewhere between 3-4 as well.

I was driving when I finally got around to listening to this album today. When the harmonies hit my heart soared! What an awesome song!!!!!!!
seeing Nick and Neal together again, for me, it's bittersweet. Not much I'd enjoy more than to see Neal, Nick and the all-star original Spock's Beard together again and get to see them perform live. Many years ago I saw them in NYC but it was shortly after Neal had moved on and though it was great, I really was a little sad I never got to see the amazing original Spock's Beard together performing live and just prog rocking the world out. Happy 2022 y'all, love yas.
They do reunions occasionally at Morsefest.
Same here, saw Spock's Beard on the Snow tour (along with California Guitar Trio and Enchant) after Neal left. However, a few months later, I had the chance to see Neal in a church, alone on guitar or keyboard, eventually accompanied by some percussion. 20 years later, I am still impressed by that performance. The guy knows how to write songs!

I simply don´t know why the fanastic singer (Jennings) of a fantastic band does such an experiment.
"Julia" is the only good/acceptable song on the whole album.
Songs like "If I could" are horrible.
Its not a nod, its a direct copy of CSNY, right down to the spoken intro, the phrasing and the instrumentation. I'll be kind and say its tongue in cheek! Watch "Woodstock" again if you think I'm wrong.
Simple music is ALWAYS great music.
Only real musicians can write simple music.
To see these monster musicians dial it down to “simple” is just fantastic. Not easy to pull off.
