Having watched much American television through the 60s, I took in Rowan and Martin’s Laugh In. Adorable Judy was charming and aside from her studio work were brief skits filmed outdoors. I believe these, if seen in England, may have influenced Monty Python’s Flying Circus. Great gal.
This is one of the best episodes! So sad what became of Judy Carne in her later years. The best line was from the cryonics guy: "When you die your body's often in bad shape" (that's the reason they just freeze the head sometimes)
Good lord! When was this video taken? What happened to Judy? She sure had deteriorated in appearance and mannerisms since her Laugh-in days. She was so cheerful, fresh-faced, and beautiful back then.
Who is that gentleman in navy suit, white shirt & reddish tie with longish brown hair, to the far left, seated in the pea green couch, who appears positively out of it??? = Now know it's a David Greene, who was a "character" on the show. Is he still alive?
You know, somebody should've explained to this host what segue ways and transitions are. He kept randomly jumping from topic to topic and from guest to guest, without comment. Strange.
Judy Carne's career must have really gone downhill by this time if she's appearing on an inferior talk show like this one. The host seems unprofessional and inexperienced and stumbles on almost every word. If that isn't bad enough his sidekick (who is no Ed McMahon) just sits there in a zombie like state and doesn't say a word (a very lame attempt at humor).
Sounds like somebody’s new to Beyond Vaudeville and the character of Frank Hope! I love his nervous as hell, mush-mouthed “bad interviewer” routine. It’s mostly an act and I think its hilarious. The more episodes you watch, the funnier and more brilliant his act becomes.
