    based on on level hardest difficulties I enjoyed these the most
    1. Barad Guldur
    2. Tower of Orthanc/Throne of the Dread Terror
    3. Dar Narbugud
    4. Ost Dunhoth
    5. Rift
    they all bring out so many good memories, especially up until OD.. I wish the old raids would get reworked and scalable not just level wise but also to the difficulty level of original release but thats just wishful thinking with the overhauled stat and class trait systems
    also honorable mention Battle for Erebor - liked this one the most out of their single fight raids

    Granted I have missed out on most raids since I basically have been a solo player, I have done Rift, Barad Guldur, Dar Narbugud, Vile Maw, Helegrod, and probably the shortest raid of them all is my 2nd favorite- Draigoch's Lair. Rift is #1 for me.

    I played lotro from beta to lvl 85. Last raid was Tower of Orthanc.
    My Top5:
    1:Barad Guldur(BG)
    2: The Rift of Nurz Ghashu (Rift)
    3: Dar Narbugud (DN)
    4: Ost Dunhoth (OD)
    5: The Vile Maw (Watcher)

    I have memories of my Brandywine kin dragging us through Helegrod (before they split it up) and I somehow ended up with a full minstrel armour set. Which I wore for a long time because it was good stuff, but damn, it was ugly! Anyway, except for the Rift, I was surprised by all of your choices. Not because I disagree with them, but because I'd been thinking of others and had sort of forgotten about them.

    My top raid is probably FOKD because it’s the first raid I tanked at end game at level cap. Also the encounter and that you lose when you finish is great.
    To name another DN also is one of my favorite of all time, I run it on all my rooms solo at least once. Also Throne of Terror T2 is a great one too!

    Years ago when I returned to lotto and level cap was 85 iirc, the kin I was in did a weekly old raids run on Friday and Saturday night Dar Nar even then was a challenge since not everyone knew the fights or were at level, either way..still one of my favorite raids not only in Lotro but any game that I've ever played.

    I think my number 1 is Barad Guldur and I'm sure its pure nostalgic reasons because I have a lot of good memories from an old kin I was in where we ran that all the time back in like 2015 or 2014

    I stopped playing when Tower launched. So clearly I'm biased to the early raids. Being apart of PM and HoF for those few years I was lucky enough to take part in some truly epic moments. Some of my personal highlights were 6-man Lt. HM, WF 6-man Balrog, and being one of the 12 who took down the Blind One HM before it was nerfed.
    While I've not played in years, and have no experience with any raid since Tower, I would still say that BG and Ost should be on the list somewhere. Certainly BG. That raid had it all. The Gauntlet on the stairs was revolutionary for its time, the twins was a great fight when you could LM pet tank, and while the raid overall was short on boss fights, T2 HM Lieutenant was an amazing boss fight. While this was the first raid to change the way loot was distributed, the raid overall had great rewards too.
    In terms of Ost, Durin's Bane, Ivar, the maze thing with the damn Mammoths that would chase you. Seperating your raid into three groups, working together as a team. Damn what a rip that raid was. Ivar T2 was amazing, Then of course the last boss, the first time he transformed and Gandalf came out, the entire raid was losing it.

    • @Bludborn
      @Bludborn  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had a BIG issue with BG. Doing challenge mode on the lieutenant meant melee sat back and auto attacked with bows for a good portion of the fight. I was probably with you for that.

    Why does no one mention or like the Abyss of Mordath? Speaking as a new player.

    • @Bludborn
      @Bludborn  ปีที่แล้ว

      For me personally, I didn't get to run Abyss until much much later due to desired group comps. The Champion, which is my main, was in a not great spot during that time too. So it was next to impossible for me to get into that raid. The sheer volume of trash mobs made the raid take a really long time, and you had to have Light of Earendil gear which gated players from it too.

    I would drop DN and put in Ost Dunhoth. And change the order little. Rift would end up in the 5th spot, close to be overtaken by Remmo. But lotro has surprisingly good raids, would love to have good reason to rerun them like monthly... sadly no reason to do so. Loved to play OD, ToO and ToDT in the legendary servers.

    Ah yes the rift. I was actually one of the first to figure out how to get Thrang before the final boss. Was so much fun. Laurelin EU server.

    • @Hyde_Hill

      @@Bludborn Yeah was a lot of fun experimenting and paying attention to what was actually said by the NPCs etc, which I loved about LOTRO the hints in the lore, to figure out what to do in the stage when he becomes immune and one shots. Where you have to hide in the two alcoves next to the stairs. The final part about kiting him towards the exploding geysers/bulbs was easy to figure out as it was more heavily alluded too.

    • @Hyde_Hill
      @Hyde_Hill 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Bludborn It was not totally clear however it was either my alliance of guilds or another guild who where first to get to the Balrog in EU. I then quickly spread the Thrang tactics on the server. When the raids are first released is always more fun then when the tactics are widely known.

    My personal favorite was OD I'm surprised it did not make your list but DN did. Outside of challenge mode for blind one the whole raid was super easy being cleared in the first week. My raid team beat 2 bosses on the FIRST pull knowing nothing about the fights.....I mean the trash was harder.
