I had a fellow shoot a 8 point buck in my front yard at 3 am one morning. After daybreak the same morning I tracked him down turns out he was a deputy sheriff!😮😮😮

Thankfully Animal capture, care and release hase advanced a lot. We do not subject artificially raised to transport in a trailer and immediate release on arrival!! 🙈Oh my goodness! At least a month or two in a boma, then drop the fences quietly and let the animals make their own way out in their own time and comfort/safety zone.

Hunting bears over bait is a legitimate management tool where it is legal to do so. It does allow the hunter to be more selective with their take.
However, the warden brought up things that are of legitimate concern. Blue tongue and cwd are both very transmissible through the use of bait piles. In areas where these diseases are present, it’s a more than reasonable to restrict that method of take.

Baiting is the best way to hunt bears. Everything he said is correct. And quit pretending like bears care about "fair chase."

Its crazy you can't bait a bear like you'd bait anything else you hunt, but you can train a pack of dogs to tree them then strap a GPS on the collars and follow the pinpoint. You can trap animals in some traps but not in others. You can shoot an animal when the sun is out but as soon as it dips over the hill it's illegal. Surprised they don't say it's cheating to hunt with a shotgun because it's not marksman like. The fact they add so many stipulations and fine people that bought the tag to begin with just shows its money disguised as conservation alot of the time

Buncha bull shit! Hunter was right. Bait and hounds are the best management tools for bears and lions. It’s not cheating at all. A deer hunter will shoot the first bear. Baiters and houdnsmen will take inly mature boars. This guy was in the right, doing things the right way!!!
I've hunted lots in my day but what these guys do on this show is so pathetic it's not hunting it's butchering animals an even worst most of the incidents they wasted the kill I normally have a problem with authority but watching this show I'd be more than willing to enforce the rules on these people it's sad what they do aside from human safety I'm focused on the poor animals who had no chance. if they actually had to hunt most clowns I've seen on here would starve an I'd be fine with that

This is over 10 years old but it varies from state to state. Where I am in Pennsylvania they try and leave things in the wild as much as possible and only intervene when it is absolutely need. For example doe was poached and her two fawns were found abandoned and they were captured and brought to a local rehab center where they were nursed back to health and then they did a soft released where they just left the gate open for them to come and go as they wanted and soon enough they weren’t there and had joined the local deer herd. Not sure if they are still alive because of hunting in that area but I’m sure their off spring are around

You have bears and we have lions. But the things that go bump in the night in Africa are neither man nor machine. Any father in SA... black or white ...that sleeps a full night without waking at least a few times is considered wealthy. Some measure wealth by money others by freedom. I hope America gets both back, they have so much left to loose.

Convicted poachers should be given years in prison, and when released on parole, should have to spend years working for animal conservation.
