I love to draw but I also enjoy writing and I wanted to learn to draw a person so I can work on a cover to go with the book in writing. And this video really helped me, so thank you.
I am an applied art student and we have the subject studio where we draw live models. I haave loved drawing since l was 2 but my figure drawing was always a mess. So now i really need to improve it as i wanna pass the finals with good grades. Your video helped a lot!😄

Well, it's been almost a year since I last commented on this life-changing video. Ever since 7th grade, you really jumpstarted me in drawing things I never thought possible. Some of those drawings are never finished, like the previous ideas I posted here, and some proved to be the best there was. Once I was introduced to Homestuck and the people I roleplay with to this day, my art has changed drastically. Thank you for helping me go from blocks to curves, and squares to ovals. Without you, I would have never been able to do the sketches I gradually get better at. Keep on inspiring people to follow their dreams Phil!

the reason why i wanna learn to draw a person is because my therapist told me to make up an imaginary friend in order to cope with feelings of loneliness and depression so i’m trying to make a person basically. i also wanna use this technique for fashion and draw my own outfits and designs… uhhh kinda funny tbh.

I kinda question this point tbh. I've seen a lot of bad art out there from people that have drawn a lot of art. Not to get down on anyone, you should never give up on something that you enjoy but I think that having a good eye for perspective and proportions helps big-time.

The reason why im looking into this art stuff is because recently I discovered that im not that bad. So im learning how to draw people for future art stuff.
You most likely wont see this because its 5 years after the video came out but if I were to draw a person with wings would I just do the same thing I did with the rest of the body or like draw the body then add the wings on later so it doesnt overlap with the shoulders as much as it might if I were to draw it right from the beginning

Hmm... I’m not sure, honestly I want to design my own humanoid organisms and I’m not good at drawing humanoid forms without many errors. I’ve gotten really good at drawing what can be considered aliens, dinosaurs, dragons, monsters, animals, just I am really bad a humans and apes with humanoid/anthropomorphic design.

ok here is the story of why i need to draw a person. my sister saw this guy he was dressed like a cowboy and looked like Adam Levin he had a bluetooth in his ear and tattoos all over his arm she also added that he had a million dollar smile and a green Lantern ring and he wore Gothic looking shoes with chains . long story short she dared my to draw him but as you might have guessed its a hard look to draw can you help me .........please!!!!!!!!

They are terribly difficult - takes years of practice but you'll get it - keep working and experimenting with them.

I'm 9 and I improved by watching videos over and over and then I ended up drawing a realistic eye, nose, mouth, ect. The internet can really improve your drawings if you think about it!

The reason why im looking into this art stuff is because recently I discovered that im not that bad. So im learning how to draw people for future art stuff.

You most likely wont see this because its 5 years after the video came out but if I were to draw a person with wings would I just do the same thing I did with the rest of the body or like draw the body then add the wings on later so it doesnt overlap with the shoulders as much as it might if I were to draw it right from the beginning

Hmm... I’m not sure, honestly I want to design my own humanoid organisms and I’m not good at drawing humanoid forms without many errors.
I’ve gotten really good at drawing what can be considered aliens, dinosaurs, dragons, monsters, animals, just I am really bad a humans and apes with humanoid/anthropomorphic design.

If you could could you tell me how you learned to draw. Was it through books, videos etc, etc. Or some books and videos you recommend for a absolute beginner? ok here is the story of why i need to draw a person. my sister saw this guy he was dressed like a cowboy and looked like Adam Levin he had a bluetooth in his ear and tattoos all over his arm she also added that he had a million dollar smile and a green Lantern ring and he wore Gothic looking shoes with chains . long story short she dared my to draw him but as you might have guessed its a hard look to draw can you help me .........please!!!!!!!!

It is 2024, survived the pandemic, somehow, but it's not much better. We got a dementia guy as president going against a crazy orange man. And there is two different wars I can think of
I can draw animals and creatures, but for some reason the human body eludes me. Every so often I can draw the body, but then the head is off. Thats why I want to watch this video.
