I’ll be creating more content like this. Look out for the lesson next week, it takes it a step further by adding simple syncopation over ‘fly me to the moon’.
Hi Darren, tks for this lesson. I'm would like to learn easily New Orleans (Dixie) standards, and learn to improvise. What would you recommend me to do, how to approach this style of music and improvisation, without going into the complexity of the jazz. I'm looking for a resource/lessons...
Excellent lesson as usual! You are the best teacher on TH-cam for intermediate trumpet players.
Thank you.
This is a millon dollar lesson...... if one can do this on any given tune, only a short walk crossing the bridge to greatness.
It just frees you up to be more creative I think 🤔

Merci beaucoup Monsieur pour votre travail pédagogique. Le plus difficile ce n’est pas de travailler c’est de trouver le bon chemin.
Merci 1000 fois.
Yes, many poeple teach the way that worked for them, I try to employ a 'not one size fits all' in my teaching. @@TwoLateBlues

Listen to and copy the great players from that period. Check out Louis hot 5/7 recordings. So much to learn from them.
