Just some days ago, I was thinking that there's always light in Nigerian movies. I'm happy to see this realistic depiction, even if it's that they didn't buy light units.
See Hamsa is a better person. Me, I won't forgive until years later. That was just low and too fast.
Or I forgive and keep a distance still. The hurt is still fresh, and her self-esteem would have taken a beating. A year's relationship and he couldn't see you together. Some weeks later, he met your friend again, fell in love, and few months later, he proposes. I can't do that chumminess quick quick after forgiveness in this situation. Seeing them together will hurt. Seeing the ring will hurt.

Yes sis, and by prison I mean un forgiveness. Would you rather tie yourself down over something that is not that serious and really part of life while this person you are grudging is moving on with life, gets engaged, gets married, has children etc? And you are stuck in one spot don’t you see there is a problemMy point is, like the brother said the guy was sincere enough to tell her how he really felt doesn’t make her a bad person and it is okay, he found someone else who happened to be her friend and that is life is she not deserving of love too? They were already broken up and she even told her friend. Why is it a crime that she found love with her ex? How do we know it would have worked out with BJ and Hamza or would you have preferred the guy manages you and the 2 years into marriage you begin to wonder what went wrong? Being unforgiving is hindering yourself from finding your own right person, not every relationship ends up in marriage (I mean sincere ones) and that’s really okay. Because you are grudging doesn’t mean something bad will happen to her, God is not that wicked uncle in your village? I’ll be happy for my friend, it only someone much better will come my way I won’t even miss my ex.
Not saying it won’t sting but it doesn’t mean throwing away friendship of how many years over a man that it was not going to work out with.

Why do you think the problem I have with it is over the man and not over the act of my friend? The forgive I meant is that I won't continue the friendship. I'll move on with my life and be cordial if I come in contact with the lady. But, I won't continue the friendship as it used to be. I've not read every other thing as it is frankly too long. However, if I'm to look at it from your first reply, I'll see it that you've taken it way beyond what my comment is about. I'll just tell you to read my statement again, starting from "or" and especially the last two sentences, to understand what I am saying. It isn't how you've judged it. I think you are having a different conversation entirely. I was talking about self-esteem and timeline. You are talking about a man. It's not about the man.

There is no better person here and Uju Trying to do the reconciliation thing just showed she too is not trustworthy or is a betrayal as well...
Mfon was never a friend but a wicked soul who Hamza doesn't deserve.
We are very quick to try and preach forgiveness but we never try to preach righteousness and Truth. Hamza should forgive of course for her own sake but she should Never and never and I mean never accept that Mfon into her life again. Even Uju can be an arms-length friend and acquaintance only (if she choose to continue be the friend friend thing with Mfon).
Is high time we reduce or remove our energy from forgiveness preaching and start putting them more on Righteousness and What is Good preaching. There are many many men out there she should have choose to date and let the man that couldn't find her friend worthy be for the sake of her friend and friendship sake.
Even our Lord said, "Is better such a man isn't born..... That BETRAYED HIM"....
Betrayal is not something you get over with (like that) and a true friend should know that.
So Hamza should avoid her, create a void with Mfon completely and even placed Uju at arms-length if she is very close to Mfon. She too never deserve to be a friend..(to Hamza)....

This Mfon was never a good friend
