what a sensational match. i first discovered this game after watching a match on pbs; but this is the first full match i've ever seen, and i have to say, it is incredibly exciting. i wish it were more popular in the us.
+ketchup143 The sport is growing internationally. The AFL recently started the International Cup that featured 18 teams from around the world icluding USA and Canada. The AFL is also starting it's own leagues in other countries like Canada with teams such as the Toronto Downtown Dingos and such.
@@DanTheCaptain Something you forgot: The Australian Football International Cup (also known as the AFL International Cup) is an international sport competition in Australian rules football contested by *amateur players only.* And it wasn't "recently" - It dates back to 2002. They just "recently" started allowing women competing though.
In my country, Poland, Australian football never did come here, maybe beyond one team, which plays surely in German league. This sport is excellent, but Polish people don't know it and prefer football, speedway, volleyball or ski jumping.
@@stephenforrister4992 MLB/NFL = Constant breaks. NHL = Unlimited subs and a small rink. Nascar = Majority of crappy oval circuits so even Joe Average can follow it. I'm very surprised they haven't "revamped" soccer to allow commercials every 15 minutes. This isn't a game for muhricans - They neither have the pace, nor the stamina for it.
@@MrMiss-cp9bw Last time I checked there are Americans in the AFL. Like I said, stop being a fucking bigot. Everyone on this planet is equal, everyone.
you know i was just wondering why the aussie rules field is so different from other forms of football and that explains it. thanks. they started playing rugby on cricket fields in australia and it stuck i guess.
Just found this exciting game. Now felt in love with TRUSTY DUSTY!!!!! We're going to fly to the Aussies just to watch a football game. See you soon *_*
Lonesome Crow Ur probably right, but don’t act like these guys are super human. They get what are basically 30 second time outs every minute, and they aren’t full sprinting, only really jogging.
Ask Emily Smith about Aussie football, heard he broke a leg thinking he could play with them, New Zealand All Blacks is the greatest sports team in history period

Your videos have helped me in so many ways.
You're a role model for aspiring creators.

Why so many people from different countrys in this comment section who have had no idea what they have just watched :)
Edit: I just realised why
I clearly saw a player push another player, and the commentary said good that its not a foul, intresting i am intrigued, i wonder
Tigers nearly choked again. They were really good at it back then.
Where does this rate in popularity as compared to soccer, cricket, basketball and rugby?
Biggest sport in Australia
Ughh, so what are the rules of this game? Are there any?
