Gil gave up a couple of early runs, but was good overall. 2 of those runs didn't fall on him. Last 4 outings combined 21.1IP 15H 4R 10BB 22K. The young man has been solid since coming back from the IL. He's been more good than bad overall. I remember earlier this season he had to work on his command and he's improved in the area. He still has more to improve on, but the future is bright for this kid in the Bronx for years to come. He's got my vote for being #3 in the playoff rotation, but it probably won't happen.

This is far and away the best chance the Yankees have had at a WS since 2009. If they don’t do it this year it’s a real bummer. There’s no truly dominant team. Soto helps get us over the Astros hump mentally given what they did to them in the regular season. I think he could be the difference there, it’s just a matter of getting to them and then beyond
