- A very brief look at Iain Clark's 1989 CR25R Honda Evolution bike. This bike was built by Lee McColloum from the USA and the motor was built by none other than Mitch Payton and the suspension was tuned by "Bones Bacon".

My buddy just picked one of those up in pretty nice condition. Gonna do a full resto on it this winter.

I had one of these great bikes brand new in 89 it was awesome still regret selling it
Beautiful video . Thats some build. Ive still got one and ride it weekly, totally stock except for an Arrow pipe as old as the bike. I Still cant find a modern 250 with such a lovely power delivery as the 89.

what color reaction of the RAL scale did you use for the frame?
Sorry I never had anything to do with the build of the bike I only shot the pictures and video clips.

Hi David Yes these CR Evolution Honda’s are more than capable as long as you have a decent quality shock on the rear and the motors are pretty rugged as long as they are well maintained.
Um, they raced Supercross back in 89' ,so um yes, thats what it was designed for..
