You looked very comfortable with the new irons. I have seen a couple of TH-cam pros review them and they seem to like them. They look like standard grips? My Son has slightly thicker/fatter grips and they feel really good to me so am thinking of testing some out. Do you have any thoughts on grips? Great video as usual. Thanks Barrie. For me being honest like I mentioned it took a couple of rounds with them but now feel very comfortable. I think it was a bigger transition as my last set were extremely light. You can have them made with mid size grips, that is one of the options when making a custom set. What shaft did you decide to get? I don’t feel like getting fitted. I’m a high handicap playing a stiff shaft currently. My 7 iron swing speed is about 85. Off KBS site recommends KBS tour stuff or KBS tour Lite x stiff. Not sure which ones I should get
It's very difficult for me to answer as I can't give the correct information you need. I give maybe help with an insight to what I have. So 101 irons I have them in tour light stiff, swing speed 85mph 7 iron. I personally found them a lil too heavy for what I like so I now have kbs max in stiff which are I believe 15 grams lighter. I prefer the lighter shaft. Swing speed though I'm smack bang in the middle of stiff bracket. I hope this helps a little

How do they compare to your previous irons, feel, control and distance (better)? What is your yardage for each iron? I have watched the reviews on the TXG and James R channels and they offered high praise but their swing speeds are up there.
Great question Rick. I would say my speeds are not the fastest. 8 iron tends to be around the 140 yd mark just for some reference but I also need to be having a good day with strike 😅 (average golfer issues) it's difficult to compare to my previous set as they were a lot lighter than these so although I may feel these are heavier you may think in the hand there not. Distances are the same from first glance. The feel you get off them when you do hit one clean is nice. Mis hits there is some feedback but not to the point I would worry anymore than my last set. If I'm honest I'm not a good enough golfer to really say how much control you get. I'm just an average golfer that wanted a cheaper option to p790s that I love the look of. These allow to have similar looking clubs and I haven't seen drop off in performance. Sorry the reply is long winded, hopefully this helps.
Thanks mate. Appreciate the kind words. Yeah they are really nice looking and as the weeks go by they are becoming more and more comfortable. Happy customer 😅 thanks mate 👍
I ordered my 101 set with their Regular KBS shaft due to the stiff shafts were on backorder and looking at the KBS specs, my swing speed is NOT over 90. Your swing doesn’t appear to be that extreme either. I hope there’s not that much of a difference between the two shafts especially considering my swing speed. I did not get fitted prior to ordering but I had to get an upgrade as I have been playing my very old irons. Did you really need the KBS stiff shafts versus the KBS Regular?
I recently got re fitted and I am stiff shaft as my swing speed is bang in the middle of the bracket. I swing 7 iron 85mph and the stiff bracket they say is 80-90 swing speed. I was however playing reg shafts up to that point and they were still very functional. I now play the 101t irons in stiff and love them. My swing has changed a lot since this video One final note, my 3wood is still reg shaft and I love it so I don't think I will change that yet even though you could argue I should.
Thanks for watching ✌️ it has taken me 6 weeks before but they are always on the ball. Hopefully you get them soon mate.. hopefully see you around here again 🙌
Hi! Good review! Im thinking to buy those clubs. Playing now Wilson D200 with super light shafts. I got arm injury few years ago and im worried the feedback on mishits. Did you get bad vibration on mishits?
I had light clubs too. I went for stiff shaft with these which then ment the shaft weight is now 110grams. You should be able to get lighter shafts to help. I didn't get any bad vibrations unless I hit it terribly out of the toe. Mishits from the heel or bottom grooves didn't give me any vibrations up my arms. Thank you for watching. Hope this helps, If you need anymore advice just let me know.
You could go down the path of a graphite shaft to help eliminate the vibration on miss hits. The channel todays golfer has a good review of the kbs shafts and a pretty straight forward answer to why maybe a graphite shaft is better then steel. Give it a watch. I’ll more then likely be going down the path of graphite for the same reason as you.
Hello Jim. I was notified when they were due out for delivery there would be payment taken upon delivery. It may not be the same for all but UPS arrived and then took payment at the door.
@@GOLFDAYS thought it might be something like that. Guess it would be cheaper if we were still in the EU. Hoping to get out on Thursday with them so will report back.
I'm a 58 year old man that is usually a bogey or double bogey golfer. Need distance and forgiveness. Do you think these will help me? What flex should I use for a slower swing speed. Thanks
Thanks for the question Ron.. I honestly do not think I'm equipped to give you that information. They are forgiving irons and that's what they are made for but in regards to shaft etc I couldn't say. I would get fitted and at least then you would know what specs you require. I am sorry I just don't want to say something that honestly I have no knowledge about. What I can say is they are strong lofted, designed to give you more distance.
I'm definitely thinking about buying these irons just not sure about the import tax you were talking about me being in Canada and all I don't know how much more I'd have to pay
That's a great question. I honestly wouldn't know. It says on the website it is included for EU and US residents. Maybe try emailing them and see if they know. Sidenote, we just got a Tim Hortons up the road from me. Love the coffee 😅👍
Did you say you are at little channels? Is that the one at Chelmsford? I have just moved near by and am thinking about trying the course after using the driving range a few times (as well as getting some takomos!)
Yes that's right. Just outside Chelmsford. We are getting top tracer fitted in the range soon which will be incredible. Nice what irons did you get.. make sure stick around on here and maybe see you on the course 👌
Great question my friend. It literally was as simply as i preferred the looks. I love the p790 looks (taylormade fan boy 😅) and these look similar also neat and sleek looking. They also claim to be the more forgiving set which I am always looking to take 😅👍
I’ve recently purchased the 101 irons and after a few rounds I can say I’m in love. The price, control, and forgiveness is what sold me. First $500 includes 4-PW premium grips and premium shafts you can’t beat the price. Second, these irons are very forgiving! Am a very average to below average golfer and my iron shots have never flown straighter. Of course there still is the possibility of a miss hit but much more limited. I’d recommend these irons to any golfer trying to shave a few strokes off the game
@@christianwilliams5240 yeah my mates are impressed too. Push your mates to subscribe to build the community 😅👍 Hopefully in the future I can try out other golf gear as an average golfer that will resonate with the majority of us
Maybe I missed it but did you go with the "Lite" Stiff or just the normal Stiff flex shafts? Thanks for the review! I am for grabbing a set, just a matter of when and making up my mind if I want to pay to get fitted first :D
Thanks for the question mate. At the time of my order they had KBS tour 105 shafts in stock so I got that in stiff which equates to 110 gram stiff shaft in the end. The tour 105 is the shaft between the KBS tour (heaviest) and KBS tour 90 (lightest) the middle weight shafts... Based on my experience I would suggest finding what shaft you play is important as when I was fitted I tried so many that gave me all different results (which was a surprise to me) the KBS shaft for me came out with the best ball flight and spin number. Hope this helps my friend. Anything else drop me a message 👍
Yeah you could say that for everyone can't you. I suppose if there is a good model or idea then everyone will always have their own I interpretation of it. Do you play any?
A friend bought these. I had the opportunity to hit them on the range. The top line is the thickest I’ve ever seen. Massive head, absolute cheap garbage.

@@GOLFDAYS Do you know what their club make ups consists. I'm assuming 4-PW but can't find anything on their website.

Top video again mate and they look awesome irons mate.
Thanks for the quick response! I can’t wait till my order arrives. Cheers
@@RockDrillSuite no problem my friend.. you will love them 🙌
Hi great video I have ordered the 101 could you tell me how long it took to be delivered? I know they are waiting on KBS lite shafts cheers
Nice insight Trent, thanks for sharing 🙌
Nice review. You mention customs duty in the review. Did you have to pay it before you received the clubs or get an invoice when they arrived?
Hello Jim.
I was notified when they were due out for delivery there would be payment taken upon delivery. It may not be the same for all but UPS arrived and then took payment at the door.
@@GOLFDAYS interesting. Mine arrive on Wednesday so I guess we'll see. UPS also. How much was it if you don't mind me asking?
@@jimwocha4949 it was £98
Let me know how you get on 👍
@@GOLFDAYS thought it might be something like that. Guess it would be cheaper if we were still in the EU. Hoping to get out on Thursday with them so will report back.
@@jimwocha4949 😅 would have been nice to buy before the break away
I'm a 58 year old man that is usually a bogey or double bogey golfer. Need distance and forgiveness. Do you think these will help me? What flex should I use for a slower swing speed. Thanks
Thanks for the question Ron.. I honestly do not think I'm equipped to give you that information. They are forgiving irons and that's what they are made for but in regards to shaft etc I couldn't say. I would get fitted and at least then you would know what specs you require. I am sorry I just don't want to say something that honestly I have no knowledge about. What I can say is they are strong lofted, designed to give you more distance.
@@GOLFDAYS thanks
@@ronpinkerton7012 sorry I couldn't help more
@@GOLFDAYS😊
How long did they take to come in?
Hard to remember this far down the line but maybe couple months
I'm definitely thinking about buying these irons just not sure about the import tax you were talking about me being in Canada and all I don't know how much more I'd have to pay
That's a great question. I honestly wouldn't know. It says on the website it is included for EU and US residents. Maybe try emailing them and see if they know.
Sidenote, we just got a Tim Hortons up the road from me. Love the coffee 😅👍
@GOLF DAYS that's awesome thanks for the reply
@@shonecornish no problem mate Thanks again for watching. If you do buy a set let me know how you get on 👍
@GOLF DAYS I can definitely do that bud
Did you say you are at little channels? Is that the one at Chelmsford? I have just moved near by and am thinking about trying the course after using the driving range a few times (as well as getting some takomos!)
Yes that's right. Just outside Chelmsford. We are getting top tracer fitted in the range soon which will be incredible. Nice what irons did you get.. make sure stick around on here and maybe see you on the course 👌
Smart choice. Amazing value irons.
Cheers mate. Absolutely right they feel brilliant!
Have you got some?
Found myself cheering for you
Thanks 🙏
Can’t decide between 201, 101T and 101
@@barbarabarber3167 I still use 101 irons. Always liked the look and need help which you get more with the 101
Just curious why you went with the 101 over the 201? I’ve been looking for new irons and these are high up on my list
Great question my friend. It literally was as simply as i preferred the looks. I love the p790 looks (taylormade fan boy 😅) and these look similar also neat and sleek looking. They also claim to be the more forgiving set which I am always looking to take 😅👍
@@GOLFDAYS much appreciated mate! Just pulled the trigger on the 101s I’m stoked
@@christianwilliams5240 excellent mate. Let me know how you get on. Make sure you come back here 👍👍
I’ve recently purchased the 101 irons and after a few rounds I can say I’m in love.
That's fantastic news! What specs did you go for? Thanks for sharing your experience. So good to hear from other golfers 👏👏👏
@@GOLFDAYS I left all the lofts standard but I went with the KBS tour 120 shafts, and Lamkin grips!
@@christianwilliams5240 nice set up ! You can't beat it can you for the price. 👏

Really interested in getting a set of these irons they look great. Did you wait long for them to get delivered? Good luck with them mate 👍🏻
I waited about 4 months.. definitely worth it I've been super happy with them so far for 3 rounds.. I went with the 101's as well
I waited probably around 2 months. I was of the lucky ones as I have heard others waiting longer. Thanks 👍
They are beautiful!!!

Well done mate!!
Cheers pal. 16 degrees here today that's luxury for us 😅
Maybe I missed it but did you go with the "Lite" Stiff or just the normal Stiff flex shafts?
@@GOLFDAYS Great, thank you! Big help
